Products

Dynamic Controls Ltd (DCL), founded in 1960, is an industry-leading designer and producer of high and low pressure cartridge valves, manifolds, reducing stations and fluid or gas systems for mission-critical uses – including militaries, nuclear facilities, and the space industry.

More than 47,000 of our cartridges have been installed on nuclear submarines, diesel-electric submarines, aircraft carriers, Navy surface ships, and gas control gear for rocket launching systems. Our experience and expertise in designing, three-dimensional modelling, and manufacturing high-pressure components for fluids and gases give us a unique capacity to develop the critical products needed in some of the most demanding industries where failure is not an option.

Our product range meets a range of stringent standards and quality requirements. DCL valves and reducing stations meet all military, nuclear, non-nuclear, ANSI and ASTM protocols, including MIL-I-45208A, AM.1, Level 1/Subsafe, MOD military specifications, and ISO-9001 certifications.

DLC has two partner firms, BVMI and Cunico, that address related industries for two areas of work: 1) supplying specialty valves to the nuclear industry, as well as bellows seals globe valves, non-return valves and strainers; and 2) supplying nuclear and non-nuclear fittings, military-grade valves to the US Navy and the primary American defence contractors for nuclear submarines (SSNs), nuclear aircraft carriers (CVNs), and US Navy surface ships.

Bellows Sealed Valves

Dynamic Control supplies Bellows Sealed Globe Valves and Strainers for use in a wide range of nuclear and petroleum applications. Bellows Sealed valves are also known as zero leak valves, or emission-free valves. In this design, a metallic bellow cartridge is joined to the valve bonnet at one end, and the stem at the other end; it creates an accordion-shaped tube that eliminates the potential for leaks or emissions because fluids only touch the bellow and not other parts of the valve. Some of the applications of our bellows sealed globe valves and strainers include: CO2 reactor cooling circuits, liquid sodium heat exchange circuits, decay stores containment, petroleum refining circuits, and many other uses.

High Pressure Cartridge Valves

We have an industry-leading reputation for our cartridge valve systems – a reputation for innovation, excellent, quality and professionalism that has seen our products be used by the commercial space sector, several navies and nuclear submarine fleets, and a number of other high-profile sectors. Our engineers are experienced at designing a full solution, from the ground up, to meet your specific needs; and we can ensure that our solutions are built to fully integrate into your existing systems. Our cartridge valve range offers the versatility to match different valve types and sizes into one forged block; this allows the grouping of pressure measurement, over-pressure protection, pressure regulation, and on/off control all in one unit. We also demonstrate to our clients the regulation accuracy and minimum pressure drop of our valves – guaranteeing that industry requirements and your design specifications are both observed.

High Pressure Reducing Stations

Dynamic Control also supplies mono-block construction (i.e. stronger and more reliable) High Pressure Reducing Stations – used in nuclear and diesel-electric submarines, aircraft carriers, and Navy surface ships. We offer a bespoke design service to build reducing stations exactly to your design specifications and space envelop. All of our reducing stations feature our exclusive custom valves; this enables easy maintenance because cartridges can be replaced in as little as eight minutes while the manifold remains installed. Our reducing stations also feature isolator/bypass facilities to supply air without the regulator; a relief valve to protect pipe work; strong and high-quality materials to prevent corrosion in a marine environment; and a downstream pressure gauge isolator with a vent for gauge blow-down.

Regulator Control Valves

Dynamic Control's valves are manufactured using ASTM-standard pressure containment materials and are tested to ASME (Section VIII) specifications. We fully test all of our valves before delivering to the client. Our Series 5000 valve features a unique pressure balance that allows the regulator to be internally and externally detected – this makes different control modes a possibility, including pilot valves, loading regulators, and other controls. Another notable feature of the Series 5000 is the lack of restriction to flow speeds because of the product's unique design. See our website for further technical details.
