Products

Ever since our establishment in 1961, DTA Computer Systems have offered computer solutions in response to the briefs of clients in a diverse range of fields and industries. We’re based in London, from where we provide high-quality services to organisations around Europe.

Our specialisations are the design and implementation of advanced computer-orientated systems, including process control and fast-response systems; business systems, such as systems analysis and operational research; and specialised function software and hardware, including microelectronics and interfaces for terminals. Recent projects in our portfolio include mobile phone-linked loyalty systems for banks and football clubs, web-enabled environmental monitoring systems, automatic airline ticket dispensers and library security systems.

Most of our assignments come via repeat work and personal recommendations, which is testament to the calibre of our products, conceptual creativity and customer service. Have a look at our website to see the variety and excellence of what we do!

Card Guard

Card Guard offers you vital protection against information theft and loss of confidential data, which can occur when your computer is left unattended, even if only for a short period.  Attached directly to the PC, the Card Guard ensures that only authorised persons have access to your stored data.  All legitimate users receive a card with their name and, if you choose, a password.  The PC will not respond to any keyboard or mouse movement until the card is inserted and validated.  Information on your PC is at risk in all sorts of places, such as libraries and universities, dealing rooms or any open office area, but Card Guard will effectively prevent any unauthorised access.

Hotel Internet

Hotel Internet controls computer usage in hotels and cybercafés.  The way it works is that customers are sold cards carrying an identifying number.  When the customer enters the individual code on any PC in the venue that is connected to the internet, they are then given a predetermined length of time on that PC.  Cards can be used repeatedly until the purchased time runs out.  You can obtain cards for your customers on the internet and can choose to have advertising printed on the cards.   This is a really useful package, providing an effective way of controlling computer usage in public areas.

DTA Loyalty

Loyalty schemes for businesses and restaurants are a well-used and valuable method of getting customers to make return visits. In place of the traditional card to be stamped after every purchase, DTA have a smartphone app which the retailer uses to scan a barcode after each transaction and then record the transaction online. The business can decide the frequency with which scans are accepted to gain points. After the customer has earned sufficient points, they’ll receive a voucher via their phone or else have a coupon emailed to them. The app can also be used to inform customers about company promotions and other items of interest.

Festival Card

Are you looking for a cash-free way of organising payments for short-duration events? With DTA’s Festival Card, merchants receive smartcard payment terminals which debit smartcards for the receipt of services and products. Every day, transactions are despatched to an FTP server after which money is moved from smart-card holding account to merchant account. Cardholders can either pre-charge cards at a cashier or can be given cards previously charged by the event organisers. Money received gets sent to the smart card-holding account with the merchants then being paid. After the event, unused money is returned to the event organisers and personally charged money sent back to the cardholder.

DTA-Talk (Talking System for Disabled People)

Anyone who lacks the power to speak or who regularly interacts with people in this category will find DTA-Talk invaluable. It’s an innovative software system that lets those without speech generate text via a computer which is then vocalised. An additional accessory is a head-control mouse for anyone unable to use their hands consistently. Users simply need cursor control to be able to make the system work. DTA-Talk also permits emailing and web browsing via Microsoft Outlook Express and Internet Explorer. Further functions include the writing and storing of text and phrases, an integrated dictionary to assist with word completion and a number of different computer voices.

Smartcard Payment System

We offer a first-rate smartcard retail payment system which deploys terminals at point of sale outlets. These can either be on their own when using a smartcard-only system, or in conjunction with a regular till if you permit payments of a mixed nature. Your customers make payments at the terminals with their smartcard, with transaction data transferred to the Admin PC. Mains-powered desktop-positioned Ingenico Elite 710 terminals are our standard option, although we also provide other models suitable for trolley and other mobile forms of operation. These use Gemplus MPCOS-EMV smartcards and Gemplus 410 (or similar) smartcard readers.
