Established for over 30 years, Sutcliffe Electronics is a bespoke electronics manufacturer, based in Ashford, Kent. We specialise in Wired Beam type Infrared Driveway Alarms and the unique feature of our Driveway Alarm is that it can be fitted without the aid of an electrician. Although we primarily provide products to the farming industry, both private companies and members of the public can use our alarm systems.

Driveway Intruder Alarms

Sutcliffe Electronics provides a useful driveway alarm that can be used on any property; business or residential. Using an active infrared beam it alerts you to the presence of a visitor or intruder to your property. It can also be used as a trigger for a warning siren for floodlights. The Infrared beam uses a sender and a receiver placed at either side of the drive and connected to a control box. The beam works at an optimal height of 0.9m, enabling small animals to pass beneath without activating it. The beam requires no specialist tools to set it up and can be fitted without calling in an electrician

Kitgun Bird Scarers

We provide two choices of Kitgun Bird Scarers; the first features a mix of two types of barrel and the second has two models of electronics. Our Scarers use MkIV electronics, which offer a switched option of one, two or four bangs, and allow the user to vary the interval between bangs. They also feature an adjustable morning delay timer and have a randomiser function that allows the setting to be adjusted by plus or minus 50%. The Kitgun can be easily set up in just ten minutes.

FENCESENSE is an incredibly useful device that alerts farmers and other electric fence users as to when their fence isn’t working correctly. FENCESENSE will start to beep once the voltage in the fence has dropped to below 3000V and it has started to become less effective. FENCESENSE is easy to install and is simply hung onto the electric fence. FENCESENSE is battery powered by three AA cells, which should allow the device to work for about a year before the batteries need to be replaced.
