Diamond Polishing

Dipec Plastics can provide a comprehensive range of polishing services in order to be able to offer our customers a selection of finish options and to suit different budget requirements. Diamond polishing is the most cost-effective way of finishing acrylic edges with the whole process being carried out by a machine.

Flame Polishing

Our range of polishing services at Dipec Plastics also includes flame polishing as another very cost effective method of achieving a great polished finish. Flame polishing is also extremely quick to carry out and provides a good level of polished finish with edges that are hand safe.

Mop Polishing

Dipec Plastics, as part of our comprehensive selection of polishing service options, can also carry out mop polishing which offers a very high standard of polished finish and is always hand finished to provide a fantastic final result.

Line Bending (Hot Wire Bending)

Dipec Plastics has the right tools and experience to perform line bending, also known as hot wire bending, to produce our finished pieces. Line bending involves the use of a hot wire heating element which is applied to the material to create both large and small radius bends. An example of where line bending would be used is on leaflet dispensers which often feature a return in the acrylic.

Oven Moulding (Thermoforming)

Oven moulding, also known as thermoforming, is another service that Dipec Plastics can carry out in order to produce items to meet your exact specifications. With oven moulding, we use an oven that heats up to a maximum of 250°C and is suitable for moulding panels up to a size of 2.2 metres by 1 metre of various different plastic materials. Once the panel has been heated to the correct temperature, it is placed onto a shaped mould and allowed to set in the correct form.

Drilling

As part of our extensive range of fabrication and finishing services, Dipec Plastics is able to carry out drilling, tapping, counter sinking and counter boring on a wide range of different products. In order to carry out these services, we use pillar drills which are extremely accurate and powerful devices.

Welding

The workshop at Dipec Plastics can perform plastic welding in order to achieve fantastic results on your project. We are currently able to carry out plastic welding using a variety of different plastic materials including polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethan, polycarbonate and PVC.

Cementing & Gluing

In order to create finished products, Dipec Plastics uses cementing and gluing techniques for fast and effective results. In order to carry out our gluing and cementing services, our team will select the right glue for the job from a range of plastic compatible products including Extrufix, Dichloromethane, Tensol 12 and Tensol 70 Two Part Acrylic cement.

Manual Routering

Dipec Plastics aims to have a wide selection of different methods and techniques in our repertoire in order to be able to suit the specific quality and budget requirements of any customer. As such, we can perform manual routering which is a method of creating radius corners on panels of acrylic in a cheap and simple way.

Engraving

Dipec Plastics is fully equipped to provide high quality and accurate engraving services for a fantastic end result on your product. Using a small pacer machine, we are able to engrave a number of different types of plastic product. This type of engraving is often used with the illuminated panels that are fitted to fruit machines and with hair dressing displays.

CNC Machining

For use on a huge range of different products including supermarket screens, test rigs and bomb trolleys, Dipec Plastics can provide CNC machining services using our heavy duty CNC Router that features a multi-head and has tool change facilities. Our CNC Router is able to carry out machining on any size of panel up to 3000 millimetres by 1500 millimetres.

Our Other Services

Dipec Plastics is also fully set up to carry out our various services on other materials aside from plastics and acrylics. We have carried out previous projects that have included using MDF and melamine faced chip board used with exhibitions. We are also completely equipped to accept product specifications in a number of different computer file formats including jpegs, PDFs and autocad.

The team of fabricators at Dipec Plastics have an extensive amount of experience in the industry and have amassed a huge wealth of knowledge regarding acrylics and plastics and their various material properties which affect their suitability for different applications. Our fabricators also pride themselves on being creative craftsmen which, when combined with their experience and depth of knowledge, allows them to produce outstanding bespoke designs no matter the requirement. Some of our past bespoke projects have including television props, light shades, scientific exhibits, awards and trophies, bar fronts and various types of furniture.

Display & Decorative

Dipec Plastic's Display and Decorative outfit is able to produce highly creative and innovative point of sale and point of purchase displays that are also highly functional. Using a number of different types of plastics and acrylics, our POS and POP display products are designed for durability as well as to look fantastic and help your products to be displayed in the very best way possible. Our previous projects in this area have included engraved logo panels, display boxes, picture covers, literature displays, food displays, sign panels and wall displays to name but a small selection.
