Subsea Thickness Gauges

We also supply an excellent range of first class subsea thickness gauges. The range features:

• Cygnus DIVE: this wrist-mounted underwater thickness gauge is designed to suit the professional diver and provides reliable and accurate metal thickness and corrosion results.
• Cygnus Mini ROV Mountable: this equipment is designed in conjunction with VideoRay and offers thickness testing that has previously been unfeasible with large ROV’s and divers.
• Cygnus ROV Mountable: two mountable multiple echo ultrasonic thickness gauges designed to measure metal thickness in the harshest of conditions.
• Cygnus Underwater: a tough and water resistant, hand held thickness measuring gauge designed for divers.
   

ROV Probe Handlers

Cygnus offers three main ROV Probe Handlers:

• Cygnus G1 Probe Handler: the G1 is designed for us on Observation, Inspection and Light-work class ROV’s. It is manufactured from acetal and is strong and lightweight for reliable use. It features an adjustable mounting bracket for optimum positioning of the UT probe.
• Cygnus S1 Probe Handler: our new S1 model is designed for carrying out ship hull inspections on medium-sized ROV’s. It is constructed from acetal and features stainless steel fixings.
• Cygnus W1 Probe Handler: the W1 provides a probe handling solution for Work Class ROV thickness gauging operations. This model can be held by a manipulator arm and is supplied with either T-bar or fish tail handles.

Remote Probes

We are also pleased to offer an excellent range of ultrasonic probes. These high quality gauges are designed to complement the first class performance of our ultrasonic thickness gauges. Various ultrasonic probes are on offer to suit different ultrasonic gauges and it is essential that the right probe is chosen for the job. All of our remote probes are manufactured from stainless steel and feature a replaceable wear membrane in order to provide many years of reliable service.

Ultrasonic Hatch Leak Detector

Our tough and robust Ultrasonic Hatch Leak Detector provides users with a quick and easy method of evaluating hatch seals in order to prevent the costly damage to cargo from sea water ingress. The Ultrasonic Hatch Leak Detector features a battery powered transmitter containing 19 ultrasound emitters (40 kHz) that are carefully arranged to produce an omni-directional sound-field that is uniformly distributed throughout the cargo hold. The receiver displays the sound energy level that passes through gaps in the enclosed cargo hold in order to identify leak locations quickly and accurately.
