We have been successfully trading for over 40 years, originally as Electrotest, and now as CRS Electronics and specialise in electronic manufacturing, surface mount assembly, finished product assembly, and automatic testing. Our current factory in Hertfordshire is over 18,000 square feet.  CRS Electronics is widely respected within various industries for its high quality and reliable services. Surface Mount PCB Assembly

We provide our customers with leaded and lead-free processing and use the latest technology to create high quality, accurate products. Our latest additions include the MYDATA MY12 and the IPULSE M1 Pick and Place machines. Benefits of these machines include a particularly high throughput with a rated speed of 22,000 components per hour. Other examples of our equipment include the Tescon and Dynapert placement machines, SMTech Plus 12 reflow oven with lead-free capability, 3D Leica optical viewers, Automatic Optical Testing, and Quins inspection unit. With our range of machinery we can meet both small and large batch production runs quickly and efficiently
to reduce production costs.

Conventional PCB Assembly

We provide a conventional PCB assembly service to meet various production requests such as complex board layouts, bulky components or small production runs. We work closely with customers to provide the best manufacturing solutions. This might be for double-sided PCBs or to combine surface mount with conventional assembly. Whatever the request, our long history and experience within the industry enable us to meet all of your assembly requirements. We use various machines where necessary to complement our manual work. Examples include LS4000 light-guided assembly stations for boards with large component counts, and Blundell CMS400D flow-soldering machines with Chipwave.

Harness Assembly

Our harness assembly team manufacture cable assemblies for a wide range of applications. We are highly experienced in wiring control panels and harnesses for various types of applications in industries such as telecommunications and railway signalling. Within our harness assembly department our facilities include automatic crimping using Kirsten stripper crimp machines fitted with JST, Molex and Tyco applicators, Kodera automatic programmable cutting machines, and semi-automatic cable testing.

Box Build

We utilize and combine our surface mount and conventional PCBs , alongside our cabling and mechanical assemblies to provide our customers with complete 'whole box builds'. We can complete box builds from any stage of production or begin the production from scratch. We can also fabricate cabinets and control panels to meet specific requirements. All of our production processes are carried out following strict quality control procedures to ensure the finished products are of the highest quality. Inspection & Testing

All of our equipment is tested and inspected by our highly skilled and trained staff in our dedicated inspection and testing department. This process enables us to provide customers with complete confidence in the quality of their equipment. We use state of the art machinery for all test and inspection processes. For example, we use the excellent Leica and Mantis viewers for visual inspection, the DCB Automatic Supervision AOI machine for intensive inspection of positional accuracy, solder quality and correct value, and the XJTAG boundary scan testing equipment to test circuits and PCBs quickly and efficiently.
