Central Peripherals specialises in the supply of data capture and mobile tracking solutions. As well as barcode scanners and label printers, we provide state-of-the-art tracking software that allows operations managers to monitor the status/progress of their assets. The solutions we provide are often used in manufacturing and warehousing applications, but they also find use in schools, universities and libraries (for managing assets like books, equipment, etc.), as well as in parking management and enforcement applications. Bar Coding and Mobile Solutions

Central Peripherals offers a range of bar coding and mobile tracking products. We have a wide choice of barcode label printers as well as a comprehensive selection of barcode scanners. We also have a number of RFID scanners; unlike barcode scanners, these do not require a line of sight, which means that tags can be hidden within the product’s container/packaging in order to improve security. We offer a comprehensive range of barcode and RFID scanners from industry-leading brands like CipherLab, Datalogic, Honeywell, Opticon and Intermec. They are categorised as follows:

  • CCD – These are entry-level devices for contact scanning applications. 
  • Laser – These scanners are for non-contact/long range scanning applications requiring multiple scans per second. 
  • Cordless – These are ideal for situations where you need to move around. 
  • Imager – These scanners are designed to capture 1D and 2D barcodes. 
  • Omni-Directional – These are typically used in PoS applications.
  • Fixed Line – Suitable for production lines only. 
  • Rugged – These scanners are designed with IP-rated housings to protect them from dust, dirt and moisture.
