SMA Sunnyboys

A byword for professionalism in the solar power inverter industry, SMA are the largest worldwide manufacturers of these products. Their Sunny Boy inverters come in many diverse models, with inverters 1200 employed in all kinds of AC grids and for generator grounding. The transformerless 1300 and 1600 types can be used with most typical crystalline PV modules, and the 1700 is ideal if your PV generator produces around 2 kWp. The HF series are galvanic isolating and produce extremely high yields, while the 2100 is just right for small-scale PV plants.  Types 4000TL and 5000TL offer a maximum efficiency of 97%.

Fronius

The extensive and versatile Fronius series of solar inverters are suitable for all sizes of PV system, but particularly so for smaller versions. Easy to use and thoroughly trustworthy, Fronius inverters employ the power of their HF transformers in conjunction with their subtle processor control to maximise the energy supplied to you. For household and self-consumptions systems, we particularly recommend the Fronius Galvo, while the Fronius IG TL range all include system monitoring as standard. Fronius IG plus models are housed in sturdy metal coats, and the Fronius CL’s nine power modules back each other up in the event of individual component failure.

Power One Aurora Solar Inverters

Aurora are the world’s second biggest makers of solar power inverters. Their well-established Power-One line is synonymous with reliable service and customer support. Recent additions include the 250- and 300-watt micro-inverters, which permit individual control of panels and have Maximum Power Point Tracking for every module. The 2000W and 2500 Outdoor Solar Inverters are suitable for typical roof installations, while the Uno models will be just right for an average-sized family home. The PVI 5.0 line is for residential and smaller-size business installations. Aurora’s 8, 10 and 12.5kw non-isolated inverters are widely acknowledged within the industry as among the best available.

Delta Solivia Inverters

Delta’s Solivia solar inverters employ the most up-to-date high-frequency technology, meaning they always function at top capacity. They are produced in IP64 casing and are suitable for interior and protected exterior use. The 2.0 is intended for PV systems located in small roof areas such as private homes or garages, and its peak efficiency is 96.2 %. The 2.5 boasts a broad operating range and intelligent MPP tracking, and works well with small to medium-sized installations. With a top efficiency of 96.1%, the 3.0 meets the standard of mid-voltage directive BDEW, while the 3.3 is great for any scale of installation.

Power One Aurora Wind Inverters

Aurora wind inverters are based around a permanent magnet generator power curve which augments the energy levels produced by small wind turbines.  The 3000 model operates without a transformer to provide up to 96% efficiency and has anti-island protection. Specifically designed for small wind applications, the 4000W Wind Interface is tailored for grid-connected usage. The Trio 20 and 27kw inverters have a wide voltage range, making them suitable for installations housing many turbines. Their lack of electrolytic capacitors means the product can be expected to be functional for a longer time, and the incorporated heat sink compartment is a valuable product feature.

SMA Windy Boy Wind Inverters

With their guarantee of high levels of energy yield, SMA’s Windy Boy wind inverters are compatible with a large range of wind generators in different power classes. Most Windy Boy models now incorporate the groundbreaking OptiCool cooling feature, which simplifies handling and installation. The 2500 version is for island grids and grid connection and has a temperature range from -25 C to +60. Types 3300 and 3800 can be employed in grid feeding and AC coupled island systems, and also (along with the 5000A and 6000 versions) have a dedicated operational mode for wind turbines.

SMA TriPower 3 Phase Inverters

The Sunny Tripower is a high-quality three-phase inverter which is certain to simplify the design of your plant.  It has recently been redesigned to include OptiProtect, which safeguards against the problem of overvoltage and unanticipated surges of power. Its top efficiency rate is over 98%, which will reduce your costs significantly. The Tripower meets current BDEW guidelines and its safety features include an electronic string fuse and string failure detection. A three-phase feed-in and Bluetooth facilities enhance the desirability of this outstanding product, which is simple to install, multipurpose in its applications and extremely cost-effective to run.

PowerOne Aurora Trio 3 Phase Inverters

Possibly the most commonly used three-phase inverter around, the Aurora Trio is invaluable for commercial organisations. It boasts exemplary control of PV panels, most notably when weather patterns fluctuate. The Aurora Trio has a pair of independent MPPTs, and efficiency ratings are as high as 98.3% for the new Trio-20.0 and Trio-Trio27.6 models. Its unusually broad voltage input range means this device is appropriate if your installation has a reduced string size. The newer models have increased capacity and include display systems in the front panels along with fitted heat-sink compartments.

Fronius Agilo

The Fronius Agilo is a pioneer amongst central inverters, being the first in its performance category which can be fully installed and maintained by the installer. It is an excellent choice for commercial and industrial usage, boasting output capabilities of 75 kVA and 100 kVA. Its key features include the Fronius Module Manager (which invariably finds the maximum power point), a special ventilation system excluding outside air from internal components, and recesses set in the base to aid transport. Weighing in at 830kg, the Fronius Agilo comes on solidly made castors, which makes it easy to move and store.

PowerOne Micro Inverters

If string inverters don’t seem quite right for your particular PV installation, then an Aurora Power One micro inverter could fit the bill! They’re exactly what you need for premises with lots of shading issues, and also comply with new build planning legislation. You can install a maximum of 30 panel systems with one micro inverter, and thanks to Maximum Power Point Tracking, you’ll be able to control every panel on an individual level. Each micro inverter has an electrolyte-free power converter, making it a superb long-term investment. And, with an Aurora CDD monitoring device, you can keep an eye on your inverter without adding extra wires.

The 12V inverter chargers offered by CCL are from the well-regarded Victron and Studer ranges. Victron’s MultiPlus is based on adaptive charge technology and is a hugely potent battery charger which uses its multi-control panel to set the level of a maximum shore current or generator. The Phoenix EasyPlus combines a state-of-the-art battery charger with AC distribution and a fast-rate AC transfer switch. It gives all the benefits of a full-size energy system without the complexities of assembly. Both the MultiPlus and the EasyWave are powerful sine wave inverters. Also available is the Victron Quattro, which you can link to two independent AC sources.

24 Volt Inverter Chargers

These 24V inverter chargers will help bring the power you need if you’re situated a little out of the way, while lowering the amount of fuel your current generators consume. The Victron Phoenix Multiplus provides uninterrupted supply when grids go down and if power from generator or shore suffers connection problems. Victron Quattros are easily programmed either through DIP switches or VE.Net, and will keep your washing machine or ventilation system going in difficult power-supply circumstances. SMA’s Sunny Island inverters have IP54 ratings, can be installed both indoors and outside, and work well for off-grid systems with top limits of 9 kw.

48 Volt Inverter Chargers

For that top level of electrical top-up, CCL supply a full variety of 48V inverter chargers. The Studer Xtenders can be completely programmed via their remote control devices, while updatable software implies the option of installing additional functions down the line. The Sunny Island 5048 accommodates systems between 3 and 100 kw and has a fast transfer relay and battery cables. Victron’s Quattros and Phoenix Multiplus allows you to configure three units of the same model for three-phase output, or else parallel connect as many as six groups of three units, which would grant over 1260A charging capacity. All in all, you’ll find the tool you need amongst these hard-hitters!

12 Volt Inverters

The 12V true sinewave inverters available to CCL clients are from the Victron Phoenix and Studer manufacture range. The Victron Phoenix have been designed with the professional market in mind and can be used for a wealth of applications. The utilisation of hybrid HF techniques has resulted in a compact and customer-friendly product, which is particularly helpful for starting up computers, motors and low-current electrical tools. Studer’s AJ series are highly efficient and combine MOS power stages with toroidal transformers to provide maximum overload capability. Their AC electrical supplies can be connected to any form of electrical mechanism.

24 Volt Inverters

For 24V inverters, you can’t go wrong with the Victron, Studer and Convertronic thoroughbreds! The Victron Phoenix inverters (which are also available in a compact format) will kick-start difficult mechanisms such as refrigeration compressors, while every Phoenix of 1200 VA or above features a RS-485 computer interface. Studer AJs, which all carry ECE-R 10 (E24) certification, have solar charge controllers available as an option. The Convertronic inverter series are frequently found in the railway and maritime industries and in power plants and come equipped with low-frequency isolation transformers. You can buy Convertronics in either wall-mounted cabinet or rack models.

48 Volt Inverters

Parallel and three-phase configuration operation are possible with these types, adding to their attractiveness as a purchase. Through free software, the Phoenix 48Vs can be customised to your own preferences. Studer AJ 48V inverters are microprocessor controlled and digitally regulated. They are fully protected internally, thereby preventing the mechanism from overload, over-temperature and short circuiting. Capable of achieving 600 watts continuous output, these inverters have facilities for controlling and signalling remotely.

Victron AGM Batteries

With their unusually low levels of internal resistance, Victron’s AGM batteries are ideal for using with short-duration equipment operating at high current levels. AGM (an acronym of Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries function by absorbing electrolyte into a layer of glass fibre between the battery plates. Great for starting engines, they’re also perfect for winches, thrusters and solar inverters. These batteries are manufactured in pure materials, and the incorporation of lead calcium grids means they can last for as long as a year without deteriorating if stored appropriately. Every AGM battery complies with UL and CE standards and has a two-year guarantee from Victron.

Rolls Batteries

A byword for reliability in the renewal energy, marine and transport industries, the Rolls line of deep-cycle batteries have earned their reputation over the course of nearly eight decades. Their protracted life expectancy is due to the use of high-density plastic, specialised plate design and dual container manufacturing in their construction. Insulation is also key, with cell protection, the employment of rubber and glass components and powerful links between cells all being important factors. CCL also offer monobloc version of Rolls batteries, as well as accessories such as battery maintenance kits and recombination caps.

Victron GEL Batteries

Extremely long lasting and with an excellent cycle capacity, GEL batteries not only work well with thrusters and inverters, but are also good for getting engines going. They come with M8-drilled terminals made from flattened copper, which make battery terminals redundant, and are packaged in ABS fire-resistant casing. Their service life is slightly longer than AGM batteries, in both float and cycling scenarios. Victron’s GEL batteries are all based on ‘valve-regulated lead acid’ technology, confirming their high resistance to leakage throughout the duration of their usage. They’ll also rapidly return to normal output levels after extended periods of heavy discharge.

Victron 2V Long Life Flooded Batteries

Keep the power flowing even longer with Victron’s selection of long-life flooded batteries. You can choose from electrolyte-filled batteries (which can be used immediately), or the dry-charged variety, if you’re planning to store them or to transport them by aeroplane or road. If you do opt for dry-charged batteries, be aware they require filling with watered-down sulphuric acid. All long-life flooded batteries are simple to care for – just add distilled water every 24 to 36 months. If operating at 20ºC, they can last for over 20 years, and even at 40ºC you’ll get five years out of them!

Battery Monitors

Battery monitors are types of equipment which work out the number of ampere-hours used and the level of charge in a battery. The total figure of ampere-hours is a product of the amount of current entering or exiting the battery and the time in hours. Information displayed on our battery monitors includes the voltage, level of charge and discharge current, the ampere-hours used and the state of charge. The easy-to-wire 600 model includes a shunt, a two-metre battery cable and a ten-metre RJ 12 UTP cable, while the 602 features a communication port and facilities for a second battery.

With its choice of five different panel sizes, the Phoenix Charger Control allows you to create a switchboard which meets your own precise specifications.

Isolation Transformers

Owners of metal-hulled boats or anyone who regularly needs to use shorepower will want an isolation transformer in their captain’s cabin! Indispensable for safeguarding your electrical system, it will also inhibit electrolytic corrosion of your vessel. The isolation transformers we sell can be used for shorepower systems as large as 200W. All of them will stop reverse shorepower connection, so live and neutral are always correctly positioned, and their soft-start circuits ensure that the shore circuit breaker will never trip. By isolating you from neighbouring electrical systems, our isolation transformers offer complete protection of your boat’s submerged components.
