Black Cat Business Services (Ltd) have witnessed and have been a part of many major developments in networking, since their inception in 1979. This is because Black Cat are able to manufacture cables to your required length, and understanding the need for longer cables, always have a good stock of longer lengths, offering 5m, 10m, 15m, 20m, and 25m for immediate dispatch. Having supplied and custom built Cisco cables going back to 1998, experienced and highly knowledgeable staff can provide all the advice and technical support you could possibly need when it comes to Cisco cables. 

Black Cat's expertise goes well beyond 1998 and the supply and manufacture of Cisco cables. Since 1979, Black Cat have been designing and manufacturing custom cables to industry standards, including Broadcast, Visual and Audio Cables to BBC and Sony specifications for use by professional camera and audio systems. Telecommunication cables are all made to British Telecom (BT) specifications making them universally applicable for the UK network. Our current Managing Director, a military man for 12 years, added another specialism to our portfolio, of Military, Defence and Aerospace Cabling. Cisco Cables

We have one of the largest selections of Cisco Cables in the UK because we supply standard length cables from stock (5m,10m, 15m, 20m, and 25m) and manufacture cables to any length you require, including hybrid cables not stocked by Cisco as standard (MC and FT types ie Male DCE, and Female DTE). We also stock the extended X.21 cables for the CAB-X21MT and CAB-SS-X21MT. We have been manufacturing and supplying Cisco compatible cables since 1998 and can offer you our advice and technical support.

Custom Cables

We use our expertise to custom build bespoke cables for our clients from one-off prototypes right through to batches of thousands of metres. Quality Assurance is the most important element of the production process, we want to make sure that any cable we produce for you meets our and your stringent standards and functions properly for the task it is required. Therefore, we produce all custom cables in-house under our watchful eye and employing our highly skilled and trained staff. To further ensure the highest quality cables possible are produced we source our materials from other experts within their field, such as 3M and Molex.

Broadcast Camera and Audio Visual cables

The quality production of Black Cat cables has made them ideal for use by high end professional camera systems by world class production companies, with some cables produced to BBC specifications. Numerous other cables are produced to Sony, Ikegami, Hitachi, Panasonic, JVC and Cannon specifications. The most popular cable formats include the Sony Microphone, HDMI, XLR, Lemo Triax and Fibre Optic Camera cables. 

Black Cat also produce high quality and durable XLR Multicore Drums and Stage Boxes, AV Wall Outlets and a variety of connectors for the professional cables and systems. 

Fibre Optic Cables

Staying ahead with cutting edge technology, Black Cat have created an extensive range of Fibre Optic cables and peripherals, with which they can lend their expertise.

• Standard Fibre Optic Patch Cords are supplied in lengths between 0.5m and 30m and are individually bagged with a test report detailing Inseption loss. 
• Black Cat supply Toslink cables - a registered trademark of Toshiba - to any required length. Their primary function is audio streaming and they are found in CD and DVD players and some Games Consoles.
• Pre Terminated Multicore Cables are supplied in a handy drum making them ideal for quick and easy installation underfloor, in ceilings and ducts, for all your backbone, campus and horizontal fibre optic cabling requirements. 

Telecoms Cables

All of Black Cat's telecommunication and voice cables, and additional equipment are made to British Telecom (BT) specifications, making them universally applicable within the UK. Black Cat manufacture:

Network Cables

The Black Cat warehouse stocks the very popular and commonly found Cisco type cables for immediate dispatch, and as a UK based manufacturer can offer custom made lengths for 95% of the Cisco range of copper and fibre cables. To avoid the problems that occur when joining up cables that are too short, Black Cat have standard lengths that are considerably longer than those available elsewhere, including the very popular X.21 cables, which Cisco stock in 3m lengths, Black Cat offer in 5m, 10m and 15m from stock, as well as being able to manufacture any other length you require.

Black Cat use the most up to date automatic cable stripping machines, which are capable of high-precision, multi-step stripping (up to 9 Stripping steps) of coaxial cables in one single operation.

Black Cat started trading and gained many years experience prior to the establishment of the first Structured Network Cabling System in the UK, Excel, which we promptly became accredited by and now ratifies the installations our certified and experienced network cabling engineers carry out. Connectors

We supply V.35 Connector Kits, with 34 position connectors for use in CCTV V.35 interface applications. The Black Cat Kits are supplied with a moulded insulator and shielded hood fitted with the male and female jackscrews, at the very competitive price of £9 each.

Our Managing Director served 12 years in the British Army, Royal Corps of Signals., so military cables are a major part of Black Cats cable portfolio, and subsequently we  have become a leading UK manufacturer of custom military cables and electronic wire harnesses for Military, Defence, and Aerospace applications. 

IDC Flat Ribbon Cable

Black Cat offer a wide range of 100% tested IDC cable assemblies available in 2.54mm, 2.0mm and 1.25mm pitches.  We offer a complete IDC cable assembly service to meet customer requirements. 

IDC Ribbon Cables have been used universally within personal computers to connect floppy, CD, DVD and Hard Drives to one another and the motherboard. In some older machines they have been used for external connections.
