Our plant facilities have expanded during the years to include various processing types alongside coil processing. These processes include punching, notching, shearing, roll-forming, bending, blanking, and many more. Our services and manufacturing processes have been designed to meet the demands of companies that process high volumes of metal strip during product manufacture. We strive to provide successful, innovative solutions to the industry and provide turnkey automation solutions in fast turnaround times at competitive prices. At Atkin Automation we are proud to provide companies across the world with our quality British engineering solutions and will continue to develop our products and services to withhold our successful position within the market.

Bending

Our bending machines have been designed and manufactured to suit all types of industry applications. They range from cost-effective, wipe-action machines to top of the range, fully programmable tangent machines. These machines allow for repeated production of variable bend angles via special hybrid design. Please contact our technical team for advice and information regarding our range of bending machines. Our machines can feature different functions to suit different applications and our advisors are on hand to suggest the machines that will be most suitable to your intended use.

Blanking

Blanking machines provide users with a process that allows the formation of shapes from continuous strip. These versatile machines can be installed as stand alone stations or as part of other process lines to suit customer requirements. Blanking machines are cost-effective solutions for the production of moderate to high quantities of products such as brackets, enclosures or assorted mechanisms. Most types of sheet metals can be used with our blanking machines although very hard metals can prove to be difficult. Please contact us for further information and advice regarding our blanking machines and their effectiveness for use with your applications.

Cut to Length Lines

Our coil fed lines feature a cut to length process for flexible and cost-effective solutions. Cut to length lines are beneficial by reducing the number of standard sheets that need to be stored. Where productivity is the most important factor of production, we offer various lines based on a static shear. When this is combined with our servo roll feed, the line provides exceptional cut to length accuracy. Where a higher productivity rate is the customer's main priority, we provide a range of flying shears.

Multi-Punch

We provide customers with high quality CNC positioned multi-punch head lines. These can feature either single punching heads or multiple punching heads to suit the requirements of the user. Multiple punching heads are excellent for punching shapes from coil fed strip very quickly. These accurate and robust machines are usually installed as part of other production stations to form efficient production lines.

Roll Forming

The continuous bending of strip metal, or roll forming, is where the metal is passed through sets of rolls mounted on consecutive stands to form the desired bend. We are highly experienced in the integration of roll formers with continuous process lines. We work closely with our clients to gain an understanding of the application and production process the roll former is to be used with. We can then provide tailored software and roll forming machines that match these requirements. Roll forming is an effective process for the production of large quantities of constant-profile parts of long lengths.

Slitting

We provide various powered and pull through slitters to suit various customer requirements. Slitting lines are effective for converting a 'bulk' coil into smaller strips which are then wound on to a recoiler ready for further processing. Please contact our experienced technical team for further information, or visit our website for further information and to view images.

Transformer Core Cutting Lines

We supply a range of resources to assist in the procurement of new and used core cutting lines for the electrical industry. These can include transformer core cutting, transformer foil winding, transformer coil winding, microwave oven components, television components, computer and printer components, motor laminations and more. Our experienced team is on hand to discuss your applications and to advise on the best solutions to suit your business type.

Coil Cars

Coil cars are special types of rolling stock that are designed for the transport of coils of sheet metal - usually steel. We provide a large selection of coil cars and coil tippers which are designed to provide easy, secure manipulation and transfer of coils to the uncoiler. Our smaller coil cars are manually operated whilst the larger units

Coil Tippers

Please visit our website for information and to view images of our coil cars and coil tippers or contact us at Atkin Automation for technical advice and support. Our range of coil cars and coil tippers are designed for easy and secure manipulation and transfer of coils to the uncoiler.

Here at Atkin Automation we are renowned globally for our high performance servo powered roll feeds. We provide customers with a wide selection of units that are designed to be suitable for all types of industry application. Examples of our ranges include the RF60 which provides a single pitch feed for material up to 2mm thick, up to the RF127 which caters for widths of up to 2000mm. We also supply our HSP range of servo roll feeds for high speed applications. These can provide feeds in excess of 200spm.

Feeders/Straighteners

The combination of feeders and straighteners are perfect solutions in work areas where space is limited. These combinations are now extremely accurate and much faster than early models and provide excellent solutions compared to stand alone feeders. Our combination feeders/straighteners operate at 6% of the capacity of conventional press feed lines and eliminate the need for a looping area between the straightener and the roll feed. Please contact us for detailed specifications.

Levellers

We provide customers with high specification levelling machines to correct curvature and create smooth and well-pressed metal sheet and metal strip. These machines are designed to provide accurate, flat surfaces and feature adjustment and repeatability settings. Our levelling machines are widely used in a range of industries such as metallurgy, petrification, automotive, and more. For further information, please contact our team at Atkin Automation.

Our range of powered and non-powered uncoilers has capacities ranging from 150kg to 25 tonnes and coil widths of up to 2000mm. These can be supplied with various features to suit the requirements of the customer and the demands of various industry applications. Please contact our sales team at Atkin Automation for further information.

Space-Savers

Where there are issues with space in the production area, we can provide effective solutions. For example, our coil-holder and straightener is an effective solution for reducing space in the work area while increasing productivity at the same time. The looping area between the coil-holder and the straightener is eliminated to reduce space. The compact design of our space-savers create effective solutions for many manufacturing plants that wish to reduce space but retain the high level of output from the process.

Punch and Notch

These high-speed, multi-purpose machines are available as either fixed or CNC positioned formats. They are designed to be easily installed into functioning process lines. They are robust, durable and effective for use in various production centres. These machines can be tailored to suit the requirements of customers.
