Weld Overlay Cladding

Our weld overlay cladding process provides protection against corrosion and wear in hostile environments. It is commonly applied to pipelines, valves, flanges and specialist fabrications used in the offshore industries. The process gives the assurance of a heavy-duty metallurgically-bonded protective layer that will not be undermined or dislodged in service. At Arc we typically use Inconel 625, Inconel 825, Monel, Hastalloy and various stainless steels. Experience and expertise in the use of these materials enables us to clad a wide variety of parts and components, in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

Fabrication

Arc also specialise in the manufacture of specialist fabrications for the oil & gas, nuclear, water and wastewater, naval and other industries. Typical components include spools, pressure vessels, wellhead equipment, subsea piping, nuclear devices, flow controls and surgical instruments. We have a great deal of engineering experience and are proud holders of ASME U and National Board R Stamps. All work is carried out in accordance with a quality management system that has been certified to ISO 9001:2008 and a weld management system approved to ISO 3834-2. In-house heat treatment, rolling, press brake, plasma profiling, NDT and bead blast facilities enable us to perform a wide variety of general fabrication tasks.

ASME & NB R Stamps

As a proud holder of the ASME U Stamp and National Board R Stamps, Arc Energy is able to provide a range of subcontract services - from the full supply of code compliant equipment and pressure vessels to the welding of free-issue ASME standard material.

Process Capacity

Arc’s welding capacity is second to none. We use a wide variety of techniques - including hot & cold wire pulsed GTAW, GMAW, twin wire, SMAW, submerged arc, electroslag and plasma - and can handle a full range of steels and non-ferrous alloys. All of our welders are fully trained and qualified to ASME, BS, ISO and defence standards.

Support Services

Our core welding and fabrication activities are supported by in-house heat treatment, rolling, press break, NC plasma profiling, non-destructive testing, FARO arm inspection, PMI and bead blast facilities. This allows us to offer our clients a comprehensive fabrication solution – from material procurement right through to component testing, delivery and documentation.
