Fun/Inflatable Kayaking

Whether it’s thrills and spills in a white-watered ravine or a gentle paddle on a smooth, silent river, we can offer a kayaking experience to suit all requirements. We have two types of kayak that we use in our river tours: the first is for paddling all grades of water up to Grade 5, while the second, which sits higher in the water and keeps you drier than the first, is suitable for paddling in gentler waters. Both types of kayak are great fun to paddle and offer novices the chance to safely paddle grades of water that would not be possible in a traditional enclosed cockpit kayak with a spray deck. For this activity we use local Speyside Rivers, Lochs and Ponds.

Stag and Hen Parties

Are you organising a stag or hen-do? Want to do something a little different? Aquaplay can offer a range of outdoor activities tailored to the requirements of your group. And, as well as providing all the equipment and tuition for the activities themselves, we can also help you with your accommodation and transport. If required, tours can also be arranged in combination with whisky tasking sessions, distillery visits, off-road driving, clay-pigeon shooting, archery and other similar activities. Boogie Board Surfing

Wherever there is surf on the Moray Firth, we’ll find it and take you there. In our boogie board surfing sessions we’ll introduce you to the basic skills and safety awareness required to take part and then set you free to explore the waves under the guidance of a qualified instructor.  Boogie boards (solid or inflatable) are of course provided – we can also introduce you to our new Hydrospeeds for the exhilarating experience of exploding onto the beach after a long run off the waves.

Team Work/Team Building

Aquaplay has been working with corporate clients to provide team-building events for many years, delivering bespoke tour packages that offer excellent value for money. Team-building tours can include a combination of exciting and challenging activities for up to 20 people and may take place over several days. Each activity is designed to improve your team’s ability to communicate and cooperate, making employees more productive and efficient in a working environment.

Bespoke Journeys

Our bespoke journeys are designed by you. You to choose the activity, you choose the environment, and we’ll put together a package to suit.  Whatever combination you opt for, we’ll deliver an adventure to remember. Packages can be as simple or as comprehensive as you like, and can be made to cover leadership, guiding, coaching and accommodation. As well as in Scotland, Aquaplay has led groups on river trips throughout Europe and beyond, our most recent being to the beautiful River Dalaman in Turkey.

River Bugs/Hydro Speeds

Experience the thrill of cascading down drops and across rapids at water level on an inflatable hydrospeed. We’ll introduce you to the basic skills you need to stay upright, drill you on safety awareness and then set you free to explore the river rapids whilst helping you to find the best routes down the river. Our instructors will also show you how to support each other in your descent so that everyone has fun. You’ll quickly learn to appreciate the energy and flow of the river and how to guide your craft through the surge of turbulent water.

Burn Scrambling

Burn scrambling is an activity that will really test your teamwork and leadership skills. Not only is it physically demanding, but also mentally challenging, because along the way we’ll set you a number of stimulating tasks to get those brain cells working. The aim is to get you and your group operating efficiently as a team, looking out for one another and choosing the best lines for the ascent and descent. Your communication skills will be tested to the limit as you attempt to make your way safely back to the start point. The location is handpicked by us to ensure the right level of challenge, and all equipment and clothing is provided.

Trail Cycling and Mountain Bike Riding

Whether it’s a gentle ride or a full-blooded mountain ascent, Aquaplay Scotland can offer trail cycling and bike riding experiences to suit all ages and skill levels. Our location in Speyside gives us access to the nationally renowned Speyside Way, the Glenlivet Estate cycle routes, the Moray Monster trails and countless forest tracks and trails throughout the area. As well as advising the more experienced bikers on accessing the best and most challenging trails, our instructors can provide novices and first-timers with the instruction and guidance needed to get them out in the saddle and overcoming the trials of the track.
