AMB, or Albert Marsh and Bestelite (Hard-facing) Co. Ltd is the result of two long-standing and complementary Sheffield enterprises merging into one. A partnership based on strength and experience, AMB is a single customer-focused company. Whilst previously separate entities, Bestelite has 30 years as a market leader in the welding application of hard-faced materials and Albert Marsh and Co manufactured and supplied hardened ‘wear parts’ to all major valve, pump, brick and steel manufacturers for nearly 70 years.

With easy access to airports, motorways, rail and sea; enabling fast response times and deliveries, AMB’s modern production facility is located in the heart of Sheffield’s renowned engineering district. Pump Components

As a supplier of rotating wear parts, AMB can serve the majority of OEMs in the pump industry. Our wear rings, stage bushings and balance drums are manufactured from a wide range of base materials including Duplex, Super Duplex, Inconel 625,400 series St St and 316 with a hard-facing of Stellite* (Cobalt base), or, Colmonoy** (Nickel base). Valve Components

As part of our service being offered to the valve manufacturing industries, we can also accommodate the hard-facing of valve bodies, seats, parallel slides and flexiwedge discs. Steelworks

A supplier of customer specified guide, twist and pinch rolls, and, ancillary components made from tool steel and many hard-faced base materials, we can also operate a ‘Kanban’ service which is for the recutting and refurbishment of used rolls. Hard-facing

Utilising the materials of Stellite* (Cobalt base) and Colmonoy** (Nickel base) and providing post-weld heat treatment, proof machining and NDT on request, we can offer a hard-facing service. With a wide range of qualified welding procedures to recognised standards being frequently undertaken by our welding department, we can also supply HVOF, spray fusing and plating. Capacity List

We are able to offer a fast track turnaround from one offs through to medium sized orders because of our extensive machine shop, stock of material and skilled craftsmen, including coded welders. On our site is a comprehensive capacity list, detailing all of the equipment we currently use in terms of specification and quantity. We have all sorts of equipment available for turning, milling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), grinding, welding, heat treatment and many other miscellaneous items.
