Architectural Louvres

ADS Ltd is fully equipped to design and install various types of architectural louvres which are able to offer terminal ventilation based on the air flow of the building and considering the aesthetic look of the installation and how it would weather over time. We have many types of architectural louvre to base our designs on including screening, fixed blade, acoustic, adjustable, linear bar grilles, glazing, security and sand trap. Previous projects have included Clarence Dock in Leeds for which ADS Ltd installed a continuous louvre system around the entire perimeter of a curved retail space which fully integrated with the design of the building.

Solar Shading

With the goal of making working and living spaces as comfortable as possible, ADS Ltd can provide various types of solar shading to all designs of building. Solar shades reduce the amount of solar gain without blocking out light and visibility. The use of solar shading can help to reduce the need to use air conditioning as an alternative means of cooling the building and its inhabitants down thus helping to reduce costs. Our solar shading system variations include fixed blade, aerofoil, moveable, sliding or bi-fold and timber. We are also able to create fully bespoke systems on request.

Smoke Ventilation

Smoke ventilation is an extremely important feature from a safety perspective of any building, helping to prevent the build up of smoke in an emergency. ADS Ltd as a number of different types of smoke ventilation available including natural smoke or powered smoke ventilation, fixed or powered smoke curtains, automatic opening vents, fire and smoke dampers, door and window chain actuators, and smoke shaft systems. Our previous projects in this area include providing a comprehensive smoke ventilation solution for IKEA’s store in Dublin into which we installed 73 individual ventilators over 5 different areas in the store.

Environmental Ventilation

ADS Ltd have designed and developed a unit for providing natural ventilation which consists of an external weather louvre, an internal damper and an internal cover grille. The aim of environmental ventilation is to create a natural flow of air through a building for increased levels of comfort and reduced air conditioning costs. Our system has the option to include insulation, heating coils, fan boosters and even acoustic silencers. One of our projects in this area was to provide louvred environmental ventilators to the temporary stands at the London 2012 Aquatics Centre which helped to provide a natural airflow whilst limiting light and glare into the building by using moveable louvre blades.

Service

ADS Ltd is fully equipped to provide a comprehensive maintenance service on all completed projects as well as any existing ventilation systems. Our service includes emergency call outs as well as complete manuals detailing the operation and maintenance specifications of ADS Ltd systems. A service plan is a useful tool for prolonging the life of our products and vital for safety, especially in the case of smoke ventilation systems. We provide service and maintenance for a number of our past projects including IKEA stores nationwide, the Cruddas Park Shopping Centre in Newcastle as well as various residential buildings throughout the UK.

Estimating & Design

As part of our service, ADS Ltd is able to bring our experience to bear in providing our clients with highly accurate estimates of the cost of their project. We guarantee our cost planning and are able to create quotations within a specified time scale including a breakdown of each component of the product for transparency in how we arrived at the final cost. When it comes to designing our clients' projects, we offer regular meetings and provide highly detailed drawings which will be subject to approval by the client before moving ahead to the installation phase.

Project Management

ADS Ltd begins every project by providing our clients with a personal contact within our team to keep them as up to date and informed as possible regarding the progress of their project's installation. Our expert engineers give the project management team a comprehensive brief on the product and the installation procedures with an emphasis on Health & Safety. Our project management team aim to ensure our clients’ installations are carried out with the utmost attention to detail and ensuring that all requirements are fully met.

Site Installation

Once the design phase is complete and an installation project is given the go ahead, ADS Ltd begins the on-site installation process using our directly employed teams made up of SSSTS qualified supervisors and site operatives. All of our on-site installation operatives are holders of CSCS Health & Safety qualifications and the necessary trade cards. Where electrical or pneumatic systems required to be installed, ADS Ltd will bring fully qualified electrical engineers into the project to ensure the installation is completed correctly and to the very highest standards of safety and quality.
