EMC Testing

3C Test Ltd are able to offer:

• Radiated Immunity: 20Hz to 18GHz up to 600V/m (depending on frequency range and test method).
• Test methods that include triplate, bulk current injection, stripline, electric and magnetic free field.
• Radiated Emissions: 20Hz - 26.5GHz
• Conducted Emissions: 20Hz - 120MHz
• Transients: Configurable systems covering all pulses specified by ISO7637, Ford & GM.
• ESD: Variable tips up to +/- 25kV, contact and air.
• DC Electrical Performance testing using fully variable set-ups with function generators in tandem with DC-10kHz amplifiers of up to 5kW capability.

EMC Consultancy & LVD

3C is pleased to offer a comprehensive EMC consultancy that covers a wide range of products. Our long track record of proven expertise in EMC design helps us advise our customers in their product development. Technology advances and evolving regulations mean that clients need to be able to refer to an expert consulting house early in the development cycle so as to bring new products to market quickly and efficiently. VCA 'e' Marking

3C is a UKAS-accredited VCA technical service for whole vehicle testing. The Department of Transport maintains its specialist technical VCA agency for automobiles and related technologies. 3C can performed unwitnessed automotive-type approval according to the latest Automotive EMC Directive 2006/28/EC for electrical sub assemblies. And we can provide all the information needed for assessment, documentation, testing, and other kinds of reporting. We also have a 10-metre semi-anechoic chamber (used for both emissions and immunity testing, reducing set-up times for various tests and therefore reducing costs) to accommodate large and heavy vehicles as well as standard passenger vehicles. CE Marking / Radio Approvals

CE marking is a mark of safety, health and environmental protection, for products within the European Union. 3C offers extensive testing to meet CE marking directives. Our services include helping clients to identify the proper harmonised standards, carry out EMC testing according to automotive, commercial, military and marine directives, and advising on the content of technical documents. NPIA Conformance

3C offers testing to conform with the NPIA standard for auto motives and other equipment. Suppliers to the emergency services, police authorities, and fire and rescue services, can all benefit from out NPIA testing services. Car and motorcycle approval is central to our offering in this field. We test against NPIA test plans while offering a single point of contact, providing an EMC test certificate of approval, working with EMC engineers approved by the Home Office, as well as other services.
