Jackleg Cabin

Jackleg cabins are ideal as site offices, kitchens or canteens. They can be finished to an exceptionally high standard with aluminium or UPVC windows, polymer roof blankets and double glazed doors. They can also have insulated walls, carpet tiles or non-slip vinyl flooring and various types of lighting. Of course these are just examples – cabins can be tailored to your exact needs.

Anti-Vandal

We have various anti-vandal cabins in stock available for purchase or hire. These range from as small as 8ft to as large as 32ft, and can be linked or double stacked for larger complexes. Anti-vandal cabins are designed to offer the very best levels of security, and can withstand a great amount of external wear and tear - yet they offer the same levels of comfort within as any standard cabin. Sport Facilities

Modular and portable buildings are very commonly used as club houses, changing rooms and lock-ups by sports teams or at certain leisure facilities. This is because they are quick to construct and are a lot less expensive than standard ‘bricks and mortar’ buildings. Plus they can easily be customised according to your needs. 

Our bespoke service allows you to choose from a range of options, including the type of interior and exterior, the roof, doors, windows, flooring, lighting, heating, electrics and many other aspects of the building. And of course for changing rooms and WCs we can also install showers and toilets.

Expandachem

Expandachem is a flat-packed, man-portable storage solution for hazardous products or materials. A double locking system makes it extra secure and a modular construction means it can easily be expanded after initial installation should your storage requirements change.

Expandakabin

Expandakabins are similar to Expandachem cabins, except these are designed for use as accommodation (an office or workshop space, for example). However they work on exactly the same principle, being flat-packed, quick to assemble and fully expandable after initial installation (meaning you can create extra space as and when required without incurring great cost). Sell Your Used Portable Building

Need to sell a portable building? Perhaps yours has become redundant or too expensive to run? Our building valuation service is ideal for anyone who’s looking to offload their assets. We purchase quality used portable and modular buildings for cash and offer nationwide coverage. 

Our purchasers will visit your site, inspect the building and submit a written offer. Upon agreement we’ll submit a Program of Works, a Method Statement, and also carry out a Risk Assessment for Health & Safety. We’ll then discuss with you how the building will be removed. After this it will be removed by a team of professional dismantlers in full compliance with CDM regulations. 

Bespoke Classrooms

Our portable and modular buildings make for great temporary or even permanent classrooms. Schools throughout the UK are using them because they are comparatively inexpensive and can be tailored to their individual needs. Many of them can also be expanded as teaching requirements change. With bespoke modular or portable classrooms customers can choose from a range of options. For example:

• Exteriors – Resin “texture” coating over external grade plywood; Plastisol vinyl coated steel, bonded to exterior plywood; natural wood cladding in various types and finishes; synthetic wood cladding in various textures and colours. 
• Roofs – Polymer membrane roof sheeting with UPVC guttering and fall pipes.
• Windows – Double glazed TOV or tilt & turn.
• Flooring – Commercial grade vinyl; laminate flooring; carpet or carpet tiles.
• Lighting – Standard Cat. 2 (fluorescent tube type).
• Heating/Ventilation – 1kW/2kW slimline heaters; climate control.
• Electrics – Double 13 amp power sockets, flush or surface mount.
• Walls & Ceiling – Vinyl faced plasterboard or plywood.

These are ideal for sports facilities, construction sites or anywhere else that changing areas might be required. Canteen Buildings

Modular buildings are very often used as canteens on construction sites, at schools and at visitor attractions. WC Rooms

Buildings for Sale

As well as bespoke refurbishment services, Modular and Portable Services Ltd can offer near-new buildings that are ready for immediate installation. These are stocked products and can be distributed right away – ideal for anyone who needs additional storage or accommodation space as quickly as possible. Most of our buildings comply with current Building Regulations (Part L2A, 2006) and all are installed in full compliance with current Health & Safety regulations.

Site Work

We offer a range of on-site services for our customers, all of which are available nationwide. They include:

• Building window replacement

All work is carried out according to a Method Statement and we conduct thorough Risk Assessments to ensure compliance with HSE guidelines. 

Open Plan Office

We currently have a 40 x 12ft jackleg open-office cabin available from our stocked range. This has a resin textured finish to the outside (newly overpainted in grey), a polymer roof blanket, UPVC fascias and a double glazed door. Inside, the cabin features vinyl anti-slip flooring (grey), emulsion painted plasterboard, a consumer unit with MCBs and RCD protection, wall mounted convector heating and Category 2 strip lighting with diffusers. Eco-Classroom

Also available from our range of stocked products is a modular ‘eco-classroom’ (available for hire only). Measuring 32 x 40ft, it’s ideal for anyone requiring additional space for teaching on a temporary basis. The building features a Plastisol steel clad finish, Hyperlon polymer roof blankets, UPVC doors and a steel frame chassis. Within the building are wipe down insulated walls, a consumer unit with MCBs and RCD protection, and fluorescent lighting with diffusers. Floors may be carpet tiled or laid with non-slip vinyl. The ‘eco-classroom’ also has WC and kitchen facilities and may be fitted with climate control equipment, fire and intruder alarms and PIR lighting if required.
