Transformer Equipment Ltd specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of auto, audio, isolation and charger transformers. We offer fast track prototyping, a full design service, and can build transformers to various national and international standards, including DEF 5214, BS3535 and EN60 742. Transformer Equipment Ltd was set up by Mr L.H Cooper back in 1948. Today it is one of the largest transformer suppliers in the market, having approval from the likes of the BBC, BT, Siemens-Plessey, GEC, Marconi and the MoD. Most of our systems are manufactured to the MoD’s DEF 5214 Standards.

In-house production facilities and computer-aided design systems - together with our considerable manufacturing experience - allow us to offer a complete transformer manufacturing service that includes all aspects of design and production. We can also produce a range of pot core transformers and inductor assemblies, from 14m/m to 45m/m, RM6 to RM10. In manufacturing our transformers we can work from either our own drawings or from those provided by the customer. Drawings produced by Transformer Equipment Ltd are based on the requirements of the application. Before leaving our facility, all transformers are thoroughly tested and inspected for quality, safety and performance.
Our custom-built Audio transformers include amplifier (Guitar or HiFi), line matching output, input and microphone transformers for applications up to 1000 Watt (100 Volt or 70 Volt, 16 Ohm, 8 Ohm or 4 Ohm).

Our mains transformers are individually designed and manufactured using standard frame sizes from 1 - 10KVA single phase or 30Kva 3Phase.
