Saredon Steel Buildings Ltd

Based in the West Midlands, Saredon Steel Buildings are the sole manufacture of folded steel KITPAC buildings. Our buildings meet both the BS5950 with loadings to BS6399 Parts 1 and 2 requirements. The beauty of our buildings is that they are full re-locatable and as they are supplied in modular form they can be used for a wide range of purposes including offices, classroom, gymnasiums, storage building and vehicle hangers. 

Sizes of the building start from 5m and go up to 22m with eave heights ranging from 3m to 7.5m, in order to make the building larger 3m modules can be added. As standard, all of our buildings are fitted with roller shutter doors, steel personnel doors, rooflights and rainwater goods. 

The buildings can also be insulated if required which gives them a ‘U’ value of 0.25 W/m²K. In addition to our buildings, we can provide other services which include architectural services for Planning and Building Regulations as well as civils, groundworks and foundations.

Design

The design of our steel buildings uses a fully galvanised finish on all steel members, plates and brackets. The cladding is 7mm thick profile steel and the outer coating and trim colour comes in a choice of plastisol colours. The KITPAC complies with building regulations part L2a for heated buildings and exceeds the design limits for air permeability.  SBME Calculations or air tests can be arranged if required. The whole structure is insulated with 5mm thick box profile galvanised steel liner sheet with a 160mm fibre glass infill. We fit our roof sheets to comply with C.D.M regulations and they have 10% translucency. The standard fitted main door is a galvanised lath roller shutter door that can be operated by hand chain or electronically. The personnel doors are single or double leaf steel and come with mortice or panic furniture.

Erection

Saredon Steel Buildings can erect the pre-clad modules very quickly, taking only a matter of days. We are able to build on a range of foundations due to the structure’s innovative design, including those normally considered unfavourable such as infill sites. For permanent foundations we use concrete slabs with a thickened eye beam. The ease of construction also allows the building to be simply re-sited if needed. We are able to provide a fire protective liner on the walls that give one full hour’s fire protection. Saredon Steel Buildings can offer our clients with a full turnkey project management service from the initial groundwork stage right through until we hand the building over to you. All of our drawings and design calculations are readily available for Planning and Building Regulation approval.

Our buildings distinctive construction offers complete flexibility and allows it to be used for a variety of applications. They make ideal pre-fabricated steel workshops for all types of purposes for both commercial and domestic use. Additionally they can be used for trades such as car dealerships or as temporary or permanent office buildings and are perfect for use on building sites.
