Card Readers

Here at Nortech Control Systems, we manufacture a cutting edge family of proximity readers and smart card readers which are able to read a wide range of 125kHz and 13.56MHz proximity cards and tokens.

As well as working with our own range of electronic credentials, our card readers are also fully compatible with most third party cards and tokens, making them the perfect choice for new access control installations, extending existing installations, and for enabling the use of existing credentials in brand new access control applications.

Vehicle and Parking Management

For over 25 years, Nortech has been offering quality parking and vehicle management products which are ideal for a range of applications, including private car parks, hotel car parks, free public parking and paid public parking. In fact, our products can be used in almost any parking application which requires a method of preventing unauthorised access. Readers and ID Devices

Nortech is proud to offer the widest range of reader technologies in the industry - no-one else offers a choice like we do! Our partnership with LEGIC enables us to offer state-of-the-art smart card security. We offer HID iClass smart card readers, as well as our own reader which supports Mifare sector reading in addition to serial number reading of cards and key fobs that conform to 13.56MHz.

What’s more, we also provide a wide range of 125kHz proximity reader technologies and magnetic stripe card readers. Nortech also makes available readers that can connect to third party access control systems.

Access Controls

Nortech supplies a high quality range of access control systems which can be used in cooperation with our door controllers, card readers and ID devices. This includes both standalone access control systems and networked access control solutions which use Norpass3, our very own PC-based access control management software that has been developed with an array of advanced operating features as standard. Proximity Readers

Our range of 125KHz proximity card readers are a popular choice for most standard security needs. We always provide readers with the most common variant as a standard option, although we are able to modify this to special variants on request. A feature of some of our models is the ability to support two independent card technologies at the same time. We are able to offer our customers a choice of housing for their card reader and the current options we have available are Mullion Mount, Slimline, Vandal Resistant and Panel Mount.

Smart Card Readers

For a higher level of security than our standard proximity readers, Nortech’s smart card readers offer the solution. Our range includes readers that are compatible for use with LEGIC high-security contactless smart cards as well as readers that are able to read specified sectors on Mifare cards. In addition we also manufacture technology that can read the serial number of cards that use 13.56MHz, which complies with ISO15693 and ISO14443A standards. HID iCLASS readers and credentials are also available.

Standalone Access Control

We can provide a range of standalone access control products. It is worth noting that products within this range can be utilised with a wide selection of different readers. With the ability to manage up to 20,000 users at a given time, our standalone access control systems offer exceptional versatility and functionality.
