Chamber L Sealers

Wraps UK supplies this all in one shrink wrap solution for quality presentation wrapping. The Chamber L Sealer uses a single phase, 13 amp supply and can easily be relocated thanks to lockable castors. This machine has an output of around 300 products per hour and requires an operator to be present at all times for loading and unloading.

The product to be wrapped is loaded manually onto the centre-folded film. The operator then brings down the chamber hood where it is locked automatically. A sealing wire then cuts and seals the film before hot air is discharged to shrink the film. The operator then opens the hood and removes the shrink wrapped product. We have two machines in the Chamber Sealer Range; the Combo 55 for small to mid size products and the Combo 85 for larger products.

Semi Automatic L Sealers

Our LST 50 is an all in one shrink wrap system for presentation wrapping. Consisting of a sealing system and a continually running heat shrink tunnel, this machine also uses a single phase 13 amp supply and is mounted on lockable castors for easy relocation.

The LST 50 has a capacity of around 600 products per hour and requires an operator for loading. Unlike the manual chamber sealer, the operation becomes automatic after the operator closes the hood. The sealing head is released after a preset time and the product is then conveyed into the heat shrink tunnel.

After this, the product is either discharged onto a table or another conveyor. Both PVC and polyolefin shrink wrap can be used with this machine.

Automatic L Sealers

The Wraps UK W700 range of automatic L sealers provide excellent performance and value for money on high speed applications. The shrink wrapper is powered by 13 amp single phase supply while the heat shrink tunnel requires a 3 phase connection.

Our automatic L sealers have an output of around 30 packs per minute and only require an operator for monitoring and changing film. Unlike the manual and semi-automatic machines, the product to be wrapped is fed by conveyor onto the centre-folded film. The length of the product is measured by the machine and the sealing jaws operate automatically to produce the sealed bag. Once the bag is sealed, the product is conveyed to the high capacity heated shrink tunnel where the film is made skin tight.

Manual Sleeve Sealers

Our ES60 manual two reel sleeve wrapping machine is a low cost way of producing shrink wrap for transit purposes. This system consists of our ES60 sleeve wrapper and the M25.40T shrink tunnel. Polythene shrink film is the lowest cost wrapping film available which makes it perfect for transit purposes. Two reels of film (one mounted low and the other high) are joined by the sealing head, forming a curtain of film through which the product is manually pushed. The operator then brings down the sealing jaw which cuts and seals the film loosely. When the next product is pushed through the shrink wrap curtain, it pushes the previously wrapped product into the shrink tunnel, where the film is heated around the product.

Side Sealing Shrink Wrappers

When you need high speed presentation shrink wrapping, it is necessary to move to a continuous motion wrapping system. That’s why Wraps UK offers the Flexo500s, a side sealing machine that is capable of producing up to 60 products per minute. Your product is fed into the side sealing machine the same way as the automatic L sealer. It measures the length of the product and cuts and seals the film accordingly. Because of its unique measuring process, almost any length of product can be wrapped at high speeds.

Semi Automatic Sleeve Sealers

If you need something faster than the manual sleeve wrapper, your next step is to take a look at the semi automatic sleeve wrapper. Wraps UK offer the PAF Easy, a sleeve wrapper combined with heated tunnel which gives an output of up to 10 products per minute. After the operator has placed the product on the infeed manually, the product is then positioned in front of a pneumatic infeed pusher, where the wrapping cycle begins. Your product is pushed through a net of film, after which the sealing head automatically cuts and seals the film around the product. Your wrapped product is then dispatched into the heat shrink tunnel.

Fully Automatic Sleeve Sealers

If you need an output of over 10 pieces per minute, then the you need Wraps UK’s range of AS sleeve wrappers which can deal with up to 25 products per minute. A fully automatic sleeve wrapping machine uses a conveyor to transfer the product through the film. Once your product has been sleeve wrapped, a second conveyor takes it to the heat shrink tunnel where the polyethylene film is shrunk to form the transit wrap. The AS range come with an LCD display which allows you to change settings, and the ergonomically positioned film reels allow easy loading of film and simple thread up.

Shrink Wrap Film

If you want your machine to be as efficient as possible, it is important that a quality shrink wrapping film is used. Wraps UK supplies a comprehensive range of films that are all tried and tested on our machines. We source film directly from manufacturers, meaning we can offer quality film for all applications at a cost-effective rate. For a glossy, clear and tamperproof finish, your best choice of film is PVC. Polyolefin shrink wrapping film has the same advantages, but is also non-toxic, orrosion free and has exceptional seal strength. For products that need protection in transit, polyethylene is the ideal choice.
