High Friction & Anti Skid Surfacing

Road Studs & Pavement Markers

Ennis Prismo can offer a range of road studs and pavement markers, all of which have specific properties making them suitable for different applications/environments:

• Stimsonite 980 – Made with injection moulded high-impact polymers to endure high traffic volumes. 
• Stimsonite C80/381 – Made with hardened cast-iron housings designed to withstand all weather conditions. 
• Stimsonite 381C – An embedded reflective road stud for use on highways, airfield roads, service roads and all trafficked areas requiring high performance delineation.

Decorative & Coloured Surfacing

Ennis Prismo currently offers its UK customers two decorative/coloured surfacing products. These are Imprint®, a revolutionary surface treatment that gives the aesthetic appeal of block paving or cobbles without the practical limitations; and Stonegrip®, a decorative and highly durable surface treatment that allows you to transform urban environments, rural settings and heritage areas into attractive landscapes. Both of these surfaces require very little in the way of maintenance, making them practical and cost-effective as well as visually appealing.

Bridge Jointing

Thormajoint provides an effective bridge jointing solution for all parts of the road deck, including verges and hard shoulders. This highly efficient expansion joint, made with a special combination of elastomer-modified BJ200 binder and single size BJ stone, offers strength and flexibility that can accommodate horizontal movements up to +/-40mm. It is quick and easy to install, requires no mechanical moving parts, is effective in virtually all climates and offers a flush finish for a smoother drive. Surface Safety Solutions

Ennis Prismo has committed a great deal of its resource to the development of low cost traffic safety solutions – solutions designed to offer a viable, cost-saving alternative to major road layout changes, whilst also offering measurable safety benefits. Our range of road safety surfacings use colour and increased levels of wet/night visibility to warn motorists of potentially hazardous routes, as well as accident black spots. Patented Clusterbead technology ensures high levels of retro-reflectivity in dark, wet conditions, while the inclusion of special aggregates gives the surface extra skid resistance. Ennis Prismo surfaces offer a cost-effective long-term safety solution for roads where accidents are frequent but where layout changes would be impractical or too expensive.

Technical Road Marking Testing

Ennis Prismo’s ECODYN™ system allows road safety specialists to analyse and evaluate the day and night-time performance of road markings in accordance with EN1436 and TD26/07. Fast, effective and capable of performing even in heavy traffic, ECODYN™ can be used to test up to 300km of markings every day. Survey results are presented in the form of graphs or computer files containing the mean values for road marking contrast and reflectivity over zones of 100m to 1km. This enables easy identification of the areas that fall below the minimum requirement.

Crack Repairs

Surface cracks and joints can quickly develop into dangerous hazards, especially if there is a constant flow of traffic. To prevent accidents they should be treated as early as possible. At Ennis Prismo we offer a range of bitumen-based products developed specifically for bridge jointing and sealing, horizontal crack repair, or for use as expansion and contraction joints. The range includes a unique family of products which can perform in temperatures as low as -30°C and as high as +60°C, making them suitable for virtually all climates.
