Facilities

We keep available stock of approximately 20,000 tons of base material in carbon and stainless steels as well as exotic grades and titanium and aluminium.

Our production facilities are home to a wide selection of the latest in machinery. Our 15 saws enable us to cut base material in diameters as large as 1600 mm, and we have four hydraulic presses with a maximum pressure of 4000 tons. Our five Wagner ring rollers provide us with capacity up to 5300 mm diameter, 1750 mm height, 1000 mm radial width, and 27 tons of unit weight.

Additionally, we have over 100 separate conventional and CNC milling, turning and drilling machines that let us produce even the most complex components, up to a diameter of 6000 mm.

Our heat treatment equipment includes nine Bell-type annealing furnaces, one polymer-based and eight water-based quenching basins.

Quality Assurance

Our Quality Assurance System, accredited to ISO 9001:2000, complies with all international standards. We have been certified since May 1992 by TüV-CERT, one of the world’s strongest certification authorities.

We are an approved supplier of flanges and forgings for nuclear power plants.

We inspect all of our products, and approximately 60% of them undergo further third-party inspection by organisations such as Lloyds Register, Det Norske Veritas, Bureau Veritas and SGS-TUV.

Our testing methods include:

  • 100% Positive Material Identification ( PMI )
  • Corrosion testing including pitting corrosion and IG crack corrosion testing in accordance with ASTM
  • Dimensional check to an accuracy of 1/100 mm
  • Dye penetrant testing
  • Eddy current testing
  • Ferrite content measurements
