Crawford Precision Engineering (CPE) are manufacturers of the SPIRO range of rotary linear bearings, self-aligning bearings and ball cages which are available in standard or special configurations. CPE also now supplies Rotolin Bearings, ball units and ball bushings as part of its range. CPE's products are widely used in the paper processing industry and in many special purpose built machine applications. Its technical team are on hand to offer advice and information on the suitability of products to the applications they are intended to be used for and will solve customers' individual design problems.

Here at CPE we manufacture the SPIRO range of bearings and ball cages in standard and special configuration. For many years we have worked with customers all over the UK, Europe and from further afield in America. Our experience and expertise in the manufacturing of bearings is thus varied and extensive. Our team of technical staff works closely with customers to design unique bearings to suit a range of applications. Bearings can be made in sizes up to 12 inches outside diameter, in single units, matched sets or large quantities. Our range of bearings includes:
SSAR - sealed, self aligning, rotary linear bearing
SAR self aligning rotary linear bearing
SA self aligning rotary linear bearing
Rotary only and Rotary linear
Max-load - high speed multi row bearings.

Our Buttermatic buttering machines are designed to suit both small and large sandwich production batches of either, bread, rolls or buns. There is also a baguette option which can be fitted. The machines are set up to control the thickness of both the bread and the butter. All machines are manufactured using stainless steel, alloy and food grade thermoplastics. They also all carry CE approval and meet IP65 environmental standards.
