Hone-All is a well-established company and has recently undergone a major upgrade and refurbishment project. At Hone-All, our specialist deep-hole drilling service (otherwise known as gundrilling) is commonly used in the aerospace, automotive and medical industries where our specialist gundrill tools achieve close tolerances, good surface finishes and greater accuracy than conventional drilling. Deep hole drilling produces bores from 2mm to 25mm in diameter and is the most accurate way of producing multiple, concentrated bores with the smallest T.I.R. and concentricity obtainable. Our deep-hole drilling services have been used on a variety of equipment such as con rods, drive shafts, electronic housings, cylinder heads, injection moulding tools, hanger and flow tubes and steering columns.

We also specialise in deep-hole boring. For this service we use specialist drill heads and indexable tooling to produce large, precision bores in excess of 25mm in diameter. This accurate process achieves close tolerances, excellent accuracy and good surface finishes. It is a process that is widely used in the petrochemical, hydraulic and aerospace industries where precision tubing is required in sizes and specifications that are unavailable to purchase from stock. Our deep-hole boring services have been used on a variety of equipment such as specialist precision tubing, hangers, injection moulding barrels, cannons, buffer casings, transmitter housings, suspension struts and input and output shafts.

At Hone-All we provide a superior honing and finishing service. Honing is the process whereby abrasive stones are used to finish round bores in order to achieve close tolerances, excellent surface finishes and improved geometry. Honing is an essential process for creating equipment to specific sizes and finishes; specialist tubing, for example, is often only available in standard sizes. Our honing services have been used on a variety of equipment such as drive shafts, rifle barrels, valve blocks, con rods, nozzles, accumulators, engine blocks, impellers, anti-roll bars, compressor cylinders and hydraulic tubing.

We use state of the art machinery for our precision machining and turning services. CNC turning is the process where materials are rotated parallel to a cutting tool in order for exact depths and diameters to be reached. Our turning machines are able to produce internal bores, profiles and details, and also external profiles. We can machine all materials; examples of our CNC turning services include suspension struts, throttle housing, piston rods, rotors, accumulators, drive shafts, pulleys and damper housing. Available parameters include a maximum swing of 400mm (15.75'') and between centres of 2750mm (108.27'').

CNC gundrilling is another term for deep-hole drilling. For bores ranging between 0.1mm in diameter to approximately 6mm in diameter, EDM drilling is the preferred method. Our precision machining and experienced engineers provide a specialist EDM drilling service. EDM drilling is used to produce small round bores in all materials and components by conducting electrical current through brass or copper electrodes. Our EDM drilling service has been used on turbine blades, model tank tracks, dies, nozzles, cores and steering systems to name a few.

CNC milling involves the use of commands or G-codes which are programmed into the milling machine to perform a specific function. The milling process uses a variety of specialist tooling equipment to machine details, shapes or surfaces of components. Our milling service can be used on a variety of materials; examples include actuators, gas valves, engine manifolds, musical and medical valves, pressure housings, wheel spacers, and rotor and stator assemblies.

Material Procurement: To minimise costs, we offer a service of purchasing materials, billeting and facing them to produce components to customer specifications. This not only reduces costs but also creates faster lead times. All materials are purchased with full certification records which are passed on to the customer.
Sawing: Our automatic sawing capacity is 10'' diameter and is designed to reduce customer costs.
