Formed in 1958 Homer Burgess Ltd is a privately owned Engineering Company which carries out a wide range of work for the Private and Public market sectors as well as for the Ministry of Defence.
We are a "Can do " company with" Can Do" employees, keen to develop partnerships with our Clients to ensure that the needs of each are fully understood and achieved.

We presently have 3 client site establishments each equipped with offices, fabrication bays and stores

Facilities
The Company headquarters are located in Dumfries, adjacent to the A75. Our manufacturing, stores and office facilities extend to some 3000 sq. metres. Loading, unloading and workshop materials handling is done by 3 five tonne electric overhead cranes whilst front and side loading forklift trucks maneuver work items. We presently have 3 client site establishments, each equipped with offices, fabrication bays and stores. These establishments are supported by our main facility in terms of Safety and Quality. All drawing work is computerized and each workstation is networked to company wide server
Safety
Homer Burgess Limited is committed to the prevention of accidents and incidents likely to endanger the health and safety of it's employees and those of it's Client's, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors.
The Company operates the ALARP principle and Safety will not be compromised for expediency
The company manages safety by making every employee responsible for his or her own safety and for that of their colleagues. The company Safety Manager and Site Supervisors carry out regular "Stop Audits" and "Tool Box Talks". Homer Burgess has received Awards from the British Safety Council for the years 1998, 1999,and 2000.
Quality
The Company has been assessed by BSI to BS EN ISO9001:1994. Certificate No FM 13849
Licence Scope:-
General engineering work covering welded fabrication, machining project and equipment designs, installation, site works, repair/maintenance and servicing to customer specification.
The company has in house expertise in non destructive testing
