Our SR range of medium load types features
the SR-SB Type and the SR-V Type. The SR’s balls roll in four rows of a
precisely-ground raceway on an LM rail and LM block. The attachment of the end
plate to the LM block allows the train of balls to circulate. They are held in
place by a retainer plate so they do not fall out if the LM block is removed.
Please visit our website to view detailed specifications of the SR range of
High Rigidity Radial Medium-load types.
|
|
We also supply the SR ranges of heavy load
types including the SR-TB Type and the SR-W type. These models are used in the
same format as the medium-load types. The combination of the low profile of the
assembly with the high rigidity of the LM block creates a stable linear motion
with a high degree of accuracy. The SR range is ideally suited to horizontal
guide-ways. Please visit our website to view detailed technical specifications
of our High Rigidity Radial Heavy-Load types or please call our technical team
at Midland Engineering Ltd for further information.

|
The HSR features four trains of balls in a
contact angle arrangement of 45 degrees. This allows each train to bear an
equal rated load in each of the four directions (radial, reverse-radial, and
both lateral directions). These qualities enable the HSR to be used in any
installation direction. The HSR-A Type features a range of models of various
dimensions. Please visit our website for full technical specifications or
contact the team at Midland Engineering Ltd with your enquiries.
|
|
We also supply the HSR range of four way
equal load ultra heavy-load types. These models are used in the same format as
the heavy-load types. HSR allows the application of a well balanced preload.
This makes it possible to increase rigidity in each of the four directions
while maintaining a low friction coefficient. The low-profile design and use of
high rigidity LM blocks provides stable, highly accurate linear motion. Full detailed
specifications are available to view online. If you have any queries, please
contact us at Midland Engineering and we will be happy to provide you with
further information and advice.

We supply two series of HRW – wide, Four
Way Equal Types. These models feature four trains of balls all arranged so that
the contact angle is at 45 degrees. This allows the HRW to bear loads in all
four directions (radial, reverse-radial and both lateral directions). The HRW
ranges are ideal where space is limited, where moments act on the system, or
where high rigidity is required. To find out more about the HRW ranges, please
visit our website where detailed specifications can be viewed. Or, please
contact us at Midland Engineering for further assistance.

We supply a range of models in the GSR
series of interchangeable, self-adjustable types. The balls roll in two rows of
precision-ground raceway and re-circulate via an attached plate. The LM block
surface is tilted which means that by fastening the mounting bolts the user can
eliminate clearances and apply an appropriate preload. The GSR type has been
designed to provide a smooth linear motion without affecting the service life
of the model. This is made possible by a special contact design which
incorporates a circular-arc groove so even in uneven levels, smooth linear
motion is achieved. The GSR range is ideally suited to applications in which
high installation accuracy is needed.

We provide different ranges of models in
the FBW – Slidepack Series. These models are designed to enable an infinite
linear motion system. They operate via integrated balls which run smoothly on
the precision-pressed rail. The FBW ranges are compact and lightweight for ease
of use. These cost-effective ranges go through nitriding processing to improve
wear resistance of the slider and the rail. The FBW-H slidepack provides a
thicker rail to increase rigidity. Please visit our website to view images and
dimensions of the FBW-Slidepack Series.
|
|
The FBL Series features inner and outer
rails which are manufactured from precision roll forming steel plates with two
rolls of balls between the rails. The FBL Series is thin and compact in design to
create limited linear motion. The balls are spaced equally in the precision
pressed cage to eliminate friction between the balls. The clearance and motion
is optimally conditioned so that even mounting the unit on achieves smooth
motion with little noise. Please see drawings and dimensions on our website or
contact the team for further information or advice.
|
|
The SSR range is dimensionally equivalent
to and interchangeable with the SR range. It incorporates THK’s innovative Caged
Ball™ technology. These models feature balls which roll in four rows of a
precisely ground raceway on an LM rail and an LM block. The end plate attached
to the ball cage and LM block causes the trains of balls to circulate. The
Cages Ball™ technology reduces friction between the balls and thus reduces
bearing stress and relative contact velocity – both of which limit heat
generation as well as to eliminate metallic noise during use.
|
|
The SHS ranges feature balls that roll in
four rows of precision-ground raceways on an LM and rail and LM block. The end
plate, which is attached to the ball cage and LM block, causes the trains of
the balls to circulate. These models feature four trains of balls all arranged
so that the contact angle is at 45 degrees. This allows each train to bear equal
loads in all four directions (radial, reverse-radial and both lateral
directions). The SHS – Four Way Equal Load ranges also feature THK’s Caged
Ball™ technology. Please visit our website to view diagrams and dimensions. For
technical advice and information, please call us at Midland Engineering
Services Ltd.
|
|
The SHW range is ideally suited to
applications where space is limited and rigidity under Mc moment is required.
The range conforms to that of the HRW Series and uses wide rails and a low
centre of gravity much like the HRW range. Featuring THK’s Caged Ball™
technology, the SHW range is available in various dimensions – please see
images and technical specifications on our website. The type of LM guide used
in this range can be used in any position due to the rows of balls which are
all arranged at 45 degrees. The same load rating is therefore applied to the LM
block in each of the four installation directions.
|
|
The SNR and SNS series slides ranges of
radial and four-way equal load models are the caged ball versions of THK’s NR
and NRS series slides. The raceways in both SNR (radial type) and SNS (four-way
equal) LM blocks are cut into deep grooves that have a radius which is closer
to that of the balls in the conventional designs. This is created via special
equipment an advanced cutting techniques. Benefits of the SNR and SNS Series
include high vibration and impact resistance and the ability to bear
ultra-heavy loads. Please see images and dimensions on our website.
|
|
The LT ball splines feature four or six trains of load bearing balls which hold either two or three crests on the spline shaft from both sides. This means that an appropriate preload can be applied easily. The retainer is made from synthetic resin and is built into the interior of the spline nut to hold the balls in place. Please see our website to view images and technical information including the various spline nut dimensions available.
|
|
The LF ball splines feature in much the same way. The preloaded angular-contact design features two trains of balls which are arranged opposite each other to hold a crest on the spline shaft at a contact angle of 20 degrees. This reduces the angular backlash in the rotational direction to zero and increases rigidity. Please visit our website to view images and various spline nut dimensions available. Please contact our technical advisors for further information and advice regarding the LT and LF ball spline ranges.

The RSR miniature series features an LM
block that has been designed for use where space is an issue but yet still
provides the required rigidity. The Type RSR can bear loads in any direction
perpendicular to the LM rail longitudinal axis. Light moment loads can also be
borne by a one-axis configuration. The advantage of the RSR Miniature Series is
that it doesn’t have problems which involve dislocation of the cage which often
occurs in similar equipment. Please see images and technical specifications
online or, contact the team at Midland Engineering with your enquiries
|
|
The RSH Miniature Series features balls
that are held in place by a retaining plate so that they don’t fall out if the
LM block is removed from the rail. This compact range is ideally suited to high
speed motions. Advantages include unlimited stroke length, and high rigidity in
all directions when combined with large diameter balls. The RSH-Z type is a
low-inertia model which achieves smooth movement and low running noise. Please see
the different ranges on our website where images and dimensions can also be
viewed.
|
|
The VR series is a highly rigid,
high-precision infinite linear motion system. It features a unique
roller-holding mechanism which enables the realisation of an increased
effective contact length for rollers. This model has been designed by combining
the roller cage type R with a shortened roller pitch and dedicated rail type V
(precision ground after undergoing heat treatment). Please visit our website to
view the VR Series.

|
THK’s new Caged Ball™ Series eliminates
wear that is caused by the friction between the balls. This improves the grease
service life and extends maintenance free periods. This technology also lowers
noise and significantly increases high-speed performance. Please visit our
website to view equipment that utilises the innovative Caged Ball™ technology.
