The Computing Suppliers Federation was set up by a group of IT companies in 1985. These companies recognised that by working together they could help users become better informed and better educated about a range of specialist IT products and applications. Such better-informed customers help to define what the market needs and so help suppliers meet users needs in a more appropriate way. Everyone wins!
Today, CSF Member companies number almost 200. They operate across a board spectrum of IT products and services. Our Members are grouped into four specialist Forums - Document Management, Engineering Solutions, Systems Infrastructure and Digital AV. In addition, Members may join one of Special Interest Groups covering a range of specialist products or activities in areas such as monitors and storage.
The programme for each Forum is set by its own Steering Group (formed from the member companies) and each Forum is supported by an assigned Forum Co-ordinator.
The CSF produces a range of independently-authored materials to help potential users gain impartial guidance on how certain technologies work and the process to follow when making those all-important investment decisions.
In addition, we work with event organisers to ensure that regional road-shows and national exhibitions address the needs of users and suppliers - creating an informative and vibrant atmosphere in which to do business.
Customers can buy from a CSF Member company, safe in the knowledge that it has publicly declared its support of the CSF's Code of Ethics. This sets out guidelines and standards for ethical and professional conduct to which all Members must adhere. Any complaints about a Member's business conduct may dealt with by the CSF. We operate a comprehensive and independent arbitration and disciplinary procedure.
