Water sustains the lives of every man woman and child on Earth. It is the most precious resource we possess yet it's often the one we take most for granted. Water sustains our wildlife and our plants; it drives our weather systems and shapes our landscape.
In the United Kingdom water is supplied to homes and businesses by different types of organisations. In England and Wales these are privately-owned companies; in Scotland they are publicly-owned water operators and in Northern Ireland the government's Northern Ireland Water Service.
Water UK is the organisation which brings together the UK's water suppliers at a national level. We're here to promote all that's best about the UK's water industry. We also provide help advice and expertise on all aspects of the water and sewage business.
