Gas Engine Options - The GE Jenbacher gas engine is available in the 249 - 4,400 kW electrical output power range. The GE Jenbacher biogas engine has the highest electrical efficiency in its class exceeding 42.5%. GE Jenbacher also offers low - NOx biogas engines which can achieve <250mg/Nm3 NOx without the utilisation of a catalyst.
The release of the new J920 natural gas engine is scheduled for 2012, and engine which has an electrical output of 9,400kW and also the highest electrical efficiency in its class at 48.7%.
Gas Engine Applications - The GE Jenbacher gas engine is used in a wide range of renewable energy applications including biogas, landfill gas, sewage gas, synthetic gas and wood gas. The company champions the development of energy efficient combined heat and power, cogeneration, tri-generation and quad generation schemes. Clarke Energy also leads the field in the recovery of power from gases which may otherwise have been flared or released to atmosphere including associated petroleum gas (APG), coal mine methane, coal seam methane and coal bed methane.
Gas Engine Maintenance - Clarke Energy provides a range of different maintenance options for the GE Jenbacher gas engine. The company can provide long-term contractual maintenance agreements of terms typically up to 10 years. These contracts can include both corrective and preventative maintenance.
Clarke Energy hosts one of only 3 authorised GE Jenbacher overhaul facilities in Knowsley. Alongside this facility is the largest stockholding outside Austria of authorised parts for GE Jenbacher gas engines.
Clarke Energy has a dedicated team service engineers located across the UK at the ready to respond to generator issues in the field.
Innovation - Throughout its existence Clarke Energy has pioneered a number of cutting edge gas engine applications including the early expansion in landfill gas and some of the early coal-mine methane generation projects, more recently the company has delivered quad-generation projects where power, heat, cooling are produced whilst CO2 is recovered and scrubbed to food grade standards.
