Company Description
DP Seals Ltd specialises in the manufacture and supply of components from O-rings to large customer made complex products. We also have many years of experience in rubber to metal bonding and cryogenic cleaning. Our highly skilled and experienced engineers work closely with clients own design engineers to design and create the most effective solutions. Our specialists are on hand at all stages to advise clients on the most effective materials and options that are available. Our advanced CAD/CAM technology enables us to transfer designs to create prototypes quickly and easily. We are dedicated to providing all of our customers with the highest level of service and believe that this, combined with the high quality of our products, has enabled DP Seals to become the successful and widely-respected company that it is today. We provide a reliable service and supply products in agreed time frames and budgets. At DP Seals Ltd our team follows strict quality control procedures in order to provide services and products of the highest standards. We were one of the first UK companies to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation and soon followed this with ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001, AS 9100 (aerospace manufacturing accreditation) and BAE systems approval.

Perfluoroelastomers

Here at DP Seals Ltd we provide customers with FFKM materials. FFKM perfluoroelastomers are fully-fluorinated. The combination of temperature and chemical performance makes FFKM products perfect for products such as fuel and lubrication seals as well as avionics connectors. FFKM perfluoroelastomers are effective for use in all kinds of environments in a wide range of temperatures.

Please contact us at DP Seals Ltd to find out more about our perfluoroelastomers.

Viton ® Extreme

FKM is also effective for use in a range of temperatures and is particularly effective for applications in high temperatures. FKM materials are extremely resistant to most chemicals and mineral oils and also provide resistance to ozone and sunlight. Our Viton® Extreme compounds are used to solve problems associated with high pH chemicals. Our Viton® Extreme compound, ETP 600S, provides greater tensile strength, superior compression set resistance, and lower volume swell. These benefits are effective for the durability and effectiveness of many products such as fuel or lubrication seals.

Please get in touch with us at DP Seals Ltd to find out more about our Viton® Extreme compounds.

Optimised HNBR

We can also supply abrasion resistant HNBR compounds. HNBR compounds offer very similar benefits to perfluoroelastomers but are a cost effective alternative providing greater choice for engineers. HNBR compounds maintain high temperature performance while extending low temperature applications to -50°C. HNBR compounds therefore provide excellent solutions for applications in very cold climates.

HXNBR

Please contact us at DP Seals Ltd for further information regarding the benefits and advantages of HXNBR.

Nanotech Rubbe

We are continually researching and developing our products and techniques to create innovative and effective solutions. Teflon-coated rubber has been used for many years however the use of nano-particle Teflon as a fluoroelastomer filler offers many benefits.

Please get in touch for further information.

Silicone Fluoroelastome

Silicone fluoroelastomers are effective in low temperatures down to -50°C. Benefits of silicone fluoroelastomer use include no top-end compromise with upgraded chemical resistance and advanced metal bonding.

HPLT: high pressure, low-temperature FKM

We have been researching and developing high pressure, low temperature polymers for use in extreme conditions. As part of our development process we have been working closely with Solvay Solexis, a leading provider of fluoromaterials for use in demanding industries around the world. Together we have pioneered MOVE technology polymers such as VPL85540. Benefits of VPL85540 include -40°C glass temperature and advanced chemical resistance. Our developments have already enabled us to manufacture mouldings from this material for the aerospace industry.

Please contact us for further information.

CAD/CAM integration

Here at DP Seals Ltd we use some of the latest technology and techniques to provide various industries with high quality, effective solutions. We are regularly investing and updating our systems to ensure that we can provide the very best service to our customers. Our designers and engineers use the latest state of the art CAD/ CAM technology to view and examine 3D models in order to identify the most effective tooling processes.

In-house tooling

Our engineers work with state of the art CNC machines in our in-house tool room to ensure prototype development is reached within agreed time frames to the highest standards. There is a direct link between our design centre and tool room to ensure accuracy is maintained. Our engineers are highly skilled and experienced and provide a first class service at all stages of product development. Our modern vertical machining centres, advanced CNC lathes, and mills enable us to provide a wide range of tooling services.

Please contact us with your requirements.

Production Solutions

We are pleased to have the facilities and capabilities to meet both small and large batch runs and provide all customers with the same high standard of care. Our service is flexible which enables us to work with customers' Kanban and JIT-enabled processes. We have also recently invested in two new presses which enables us to manufacture larger, complex mouldings as well as to manufacture even larger batch sizes.

Cryogenic Cleaning

We also house six product-specific cleaning systems. Two of these are cryogenic deflashing units and four are water-based ceramic cleaning systems. Our cryogenic deflashing machines are of the most advanced technologies of their kind in the world. They are fed from a 5,300 litre tank of liquid nitrogen and freeze components up to their glass temperature (T g ) –  down to temperatures of -130°C. They are then shot blasted with polycarbonate beads to remove the brittle flash. Our investments in cryogenic technology enable us to offer customers a world class service.

Quality Control

In order to provide clients with services of the highest standards our team follows strict quality control procedures. As one of the first companies to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation, we soon followed this with ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001, AS 9100 (aerospace manufacturing accreditation) and BAE systems approval. We can also provide customers with complete SPC analysis for written verification of their component specification.
