Inlet Devices

We offer a complete range of traditional inlet devices as well as many proprietary inlet devices of advanced design. Our products include:

As well as resulting in reduced capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenditure (OPEX), the advantages of using the optimum inlet device for a particular application include:

• Minimised inlet nozzle and upstream piping size

• Lower feed stream momentum and minimised droplet shatter

• Prevention of liquid / liquid interface mixing and prevention of liquid re-entrainment from the gas / liquid interface

• Separation of "bulk" liquids and de-foamed incoming fluid

• Proper distribution of liquid and gas to downstream equipment

Gas-Liquid Coalescing Devices

Separating the smallest liquid droplets from the gas stream is difficult, as the required velocity may be higher than that above which liquid re-entrainment will occur. The installation of a pre-conditioner or coalescing device upstream of the demister is a frequent solution to this problem.

We offer two types of coalescing devices, Mesh Type and ZP-090 Vane Type systems, both of which operate as a coalescing device in a flooded condition at approximately three times normal design velocity. This enlarges the liquid droplets within the device, enabling the downstream demisting device to more easily separate them, and substantially improving gas / liquid separation efficiency.
