The Deep Hole Drilling Process

We use three main deep hole drilling systems. These include :

• The Gun Drill System: This system is used for small diameters and can easily be applied
  in a machining centre by using a pre-drilled hole for guidance.
• The Single Tube System: This system is used for materials with poor chip forming properties
  such as stainless steel and low-carbon steel. It is effective for long series
  production and for hole diameters larger than 200mm.
• The Ejector System: This system does not require a seal between the work-piece and the drill bushing. It can be easily adapted to existing system set-ups and is effective for machining work-pieces where sealing problems can arise.
