DVD 2012 Defence Vehicles Exhibition
Once again Habia Cable will be supporting the UK MOD’s 2012 DVD ‘The Event’ at the Millbrook Proving Centre in Bedfordshire on June 20th & 21st.

Hi-Flex cables are a range of ultra-flexible power cables that have been designed to meet the power management demands of various commercial and military applications. They utilise a combination of highly flexible S-Line conductors and the very latest Omnigard high-temperature insulation materials to increase current carrying capacity. This enables the conductor CSA to be significantly reduced, resulting in a smaller, lighter cable. Hi-Flex cables are made with materials that have a long flex-life, reducing MTBF and making installation in confined spaces less problematic. Low smoke, zero halogen versions of the Hi-Flex cable are also available.

Habiaflame is a range of fire resistant and flame retardant cables that we have been manufacturing for over 25 years. Over that time the design has been continuously updated and improved in order to meet the requirements of the latest international fire and flame performance approvals. These cables are now available in two versions; the standard RV Habiaflame cable, and the RVH version, which includes a halogen free topcoat that has an improved surface finish and which can be manufactured in sizes from 0.5mm² up to 70mm². Both versions are mechanically tough and resistant to aggressive chemicals and harsh weather conditions, making them ideal for use in hazardous areas.

We also specialise in the design and manufacture of cable harness systems and cable assemblies for telecommunications, commercial and military applications. Habia began producing cable harnesses in the early 1980s after a special request from the Swedish Ministry of Defence, and we have been actively involved in cable harnessing ever since. We recently expanded our manufacturing capacity with a new factory in Lubieszyn, Poland, where we now produce sealed PMR-100 moulded harnesses and heat shrink harnesses for military and industrial applications. Habia also has a manufacturing facility in Changzhou, China, where telecom type harnesses are produced.
