Designed with excellent mechanical and measurement properties, HBM's single point load cells are fast, reliable, and can be used in a diverse range of applications. Thanks to an off-center load compensation at the factory, these load cells are very quick to install. A high natural frequency gives these instruments an extremely fast weighing speed, while different measuring body materials and protection classes make them adjustable to your operating conditions. Needless to say, our single point load cells meet EMC directives (EN 45 501).

Force sensors and force transducers are often referred to as force load cells. These measure static and dynamic, tensile and compressive loads with very little displacement. HBM can supply your force sensors and force transducers in a range of classes and designs. These instruments are typically suited to force measurement applications such as bench testing (to check the quality of materials) and automation technology (to monitor the quality during reshaping or bonding of materials). HBM's new optical measurement instruments determine stress in components and environments where other conventional technologies can't. Our optical sensor technologies can reliably and safely test materials with high strain/stress levels or with high numbers of load cycles. They can even test materials in highly explosive environments or with high electromagnetic stress. There are numerous advantages to measuring with light. Firstly, several optical strain gauges can be used on a single fiber, reducing wiring requirements and therefore costs of installation. Secondly, optical testing gives high-precision, consistent results even in adverse conditions. Lastly, whatever the distance between your stain gauge and the measurement systems, using optical sensor technology will help you acquire reliable data.

Physical signal conditioners are suitable for all common sensors, and featured isolation allows you to acquire off-ground signals even in the MegaVolt range. Sample rates in Genesis HighSpeed instruments range from 100kS/s to 100MS/s per channel. These systems are easy to set up and use and the patented StatStream review technology allows instant handling of gigabytes of measurement data.
