We are one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of automated industrial heavy load handling equipment, with over 30 years' experience in the field.
Our products include occasional-use standard Movers, customised heavy load handling solutions, and special products such as automated vehicles and heavy-duty turntables.
Our standard Modular Movers use our unique air bearings to move loads of up to 240 tonnes. Beam Movers, with two air bearings each, are normally used in a multiple configuration to allow flexibility and movement in any direction. The manual Reel Mover, with a forked design incorporating air bearings on either side of the load, is designed for paper reels or floor-level products.
Most of our products are custom-built Solving Movers, using air bearings or wheels for automated handling of heavy loads ranging from 5 to 5000 tonnes. Solving Movers are used in a variety of industries, ranging from automated handling of transformers, motors and cable reels in the heavy electric industry to the positioning of full-sized squash courts in multi-purpose halls.
As well as standard and customised air bearing systems, we can provide wheel, rail-based or combination systems. Our Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and turntables are used in a variety of industries such as paper production and earth excavation.

Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) do not require operator input, and can be configured for indoor or outdoor use. They are usually wheeled units, but we can also provide air-film based solutions.
AGVs are suitable for continuous, repetitive movement and positioning of heavy loads such as paper reels, engines and air conditioning units. They are also in use in shipbuilding and automotive assembly.

Solving Movers, incorporating air-film based technology, enable safe and accurate positioning of heavy loads. The chassis is a load carrying steel frame under a metal floor plate, with drive units and air bearings mounted to load specifications. The almost complete reduction of friction means that very little force is required to move heavy loads. Solving Movers are quiet and convenient, requiring no installation and minimum maintenance, and they protect floors, products, and equipment.
