Milford Haven Port Authority is responsible for the biggest port in Wales, and the sixth largest in the UK. During 2008, the Port handled just under 53m gross tons of shipping which amounted to almost 36m tonnes of cargo. The Port is in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only Coastal National Park in Great Britain.
