UV-Technik International Ltd manufactures and supplies a wide and growing range of UV-lamps and accessories to the industry. Thousands of companies across the world use UV equipment every day for various applications and uses. The founding company, UV-Technik, was created in 1986 to supply custom made UV lamps and associated components. It has historically been highly regarded in the manufacture and supply of OEM's and has been at the forefront of the industry for many years. UV Technik International Ltd has developed over the years and now offers a diverse range of UV products. These include items such as UV medium pressure lamps (with power levels ranging between 1-70kw), UV sensors and monitoring equipment, electronic ballasts and more. Its products are robust and reliable and are continually being measured and monitored so that they can be refined and adapted to the very best specifications. The creation of UV-Technik International Ltd has given worldwide customers and distributors the opportunity to gain access to its products directly.

UV lamps have useful qualities - the radiation emitted breaks up molecules of chemical compounds and also has a germicidal effect which is excellent for UV oxidisation and sterilisation of liquids and surfaces of solid materials as well as for curing applications. Our UV lamps are used for many industry applications such as UV-curing of solvent-free inks, lacquers, coatings, synthetic material and potting compounds, UV special applications in photochemistry, analytic and ozone generation, and UV disinfections of water. Our UV lamps operate by power levels ranging between 1kW to 70kw and are manufactured to DIN ISO 9001 standards. They are mercury-vapour medium-pressure lamps with optimised UVC output. The Hand-Held unit HI 1 is a small portable display unit for use with UV sensors. It measures and displays the intensity of UV lamps for short-time measurements and is built to resist temperatures of up to 50°C. The UV sensor is available for different UV measuring ranges. The calibration of the sensors is saved in the special plug connector which means only one hand-held unit is needed for different UV sensors.

Electrical ballasts are intended to limit the amount of current in an electric circuit. We supply a range of electronic power supplies to be used with UV lamps. There are many advantages of using EPS-types for both the user and the machine operator (OEM). For the user, advantages of our EPS-types include stepless adjustability of lamp power, energy saving and the possibility of 'balancing out' lamp ageing. The requested and adjusted lamp power is consistently controlled and therefore independent of mains voltage variations or other influences. For the machine operator, one EPS can be used for many different lamps and lamp powers (for lamp power from 1000- 20,000 watt there are only five different EPS-types which are necessary). EPS limits are set and are often smaller and lighter than conventional power supplies. They have a constant load of three phases and the distance between the power supply and lamp can be up to 15m. Visit our website for full details on our range of electronic ballasts.

Our UV curing lamp heads are used to operate and focus UV-lamps and reflect the UV energy onto the desired substrate. They combine the right flow of air with the control of the appropriate cooling of the lamp. The UV and IR radiation can be shielded away from the substrate when the process is in standby or has stopped due to the rotation of both reflector sections. This simple mechanism can also be used as a method of focusing or de-focusing the intensity of the UV simulating an elliptical or parabolic focus.

We provide two types of measuring tape; UV Measuring Tap 10 - 200mJ/cm2 and UV Measuring Tape 200- 600mJ/cm. These self-adhesive strips have UV-sensitive coating and are used for measuring the 'real' UV radiation dose for the printing, coating or painting industries. Our UV measuring tape is widely used in fast running printing machines like offset, screen printing and flexo printing, as well as other kinds of coating lines, UV-screen printing applications, fully automatic and semi automatic screen printing-plants, as well as rotary printing plants. The strip measures UV- distribution i.e. when placed at the sides and middle of the substrate. It is also suitable for measuring the consistency of UV distribution over 3D objects.

UV handlamps are handy UV radiation sources consisting of two main parts - the handlamp itself and a storage unit. Our UV handlamps are designed for mobile UV curing applications such as colours, varnishes, potting compounds. The handheld unit features filter options so that it can be used for fluorescence and material testing. The two components of the system are connected via a connector cable and the handlamp is stored in the base unit for charging when not in use. It can be left switched on whilst in the docking unit ready for instant use. The handheld lamp runs at a power of 250w and weighs 1.3kg.
