Shipping Containers

Introduced in the 1950s, the freight standard container (ISO) offers easy and quick handling of your goods at ports and along the transit route. We have supplied these secure, weatherproof and strong CSC marine plated containers throughout the UK and can assist with all other logistics requirements. They come in two sizes - 20ft or 40ft - and with adaptations - open-tops, half heights, refrigerated reefers and insulated containers - for different purposes. These containers normally carry up to 17,500kgs or 24,000kgs (Rating/Payload), respectively, and are marked with your 4 digit identification code, and a 7 digit code corresponding to the container, to make sure that your container reaches its destination smoothly.

Storage Containers

Containers used for international shipping have become common sight across the UK, as a very viable storage solution, as there is no need for planning permission. These strong, secure and weatherproof, new and used shipping units are very useful storage containers for industrial products and equipment and consumer goods such as furniture, cars and sports equipment. We are able to supply these shipping/storage containers to anywhere in the UK. They have the additional benefit of being easy to handle as the standard worldwide shipping and transit container, so are very mobile and can be shipped.

Refrigerated Containers

Refrigerated containers come in the standard 20ft and 40ft shipping container sizes, with the option of a smaller 10ft container when shipping smaller quantities, which can avoid unnecessary refrigeration costs. Commonly refereed to as "reefers" in the shipping industry, have a built-in refrigeration system - internal temperatures between  20C(-4F) to +20C (68F) - for shipping frozen (Hard ice cream etc.), chilled (fresh produce) or temperature controlled goods (explosives and chemicals) anywhere in the world.  Like the general shipping containers these reefer units have been used for stationary storage purposes when temporary or even longer-term temperature controlled storage space is needed. Hazardous & Dangerous Goods Containers

When transporting and shipping hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods special converted shipping containers are required to comply with health and safety legislaton and regulations. Our experienced team of engineers will take a standard shipping container size of your choice and adapt the container for the goods you intend to store or ship. Any storage or shipping container for hazardous goods - including paint, fuel and pesticides - must be resistant to fire, capable of retaining any leaks or spillage, be dry and frost free, also adequately ventilated and secure. The conversion could include any number of the following adaptations: 

• Anti-slip, anti-spark tread plate floor
• A sub-floor sump to retain leaks and spillage
• Side hatch to allow a fuel line and/or power cable feed
• High security lock box
• Ventilation to enable cross air flow, minimising toxic fumes
• Emergency internal escape
• Optional shelving

These adaptations can be very useful for containers that do not cary hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods, but where it could help with storage or shipping of the goods, like with high security or shelving, or where leakage of standard goods could put employees at risk of injury.
