Food trends mean that dishes, menus and presentation styles come and go but the unique and distinctive flavours of wines, spirits, liqueurs and eaux de vie are timeless.

Alcoholic ingredients have been used in cookery for centuries. Dishes will be improved and enhanced by the use of Gourmet Classic's® traditional products. The variety and versatility of alcohol can be seen in its use, from tenderising meats to adding to fruit dishes.

Our promise

'Gourmet Classic® aims to be 30% cheaper than bottled equivalents'.
We achieve this by reducing the alcohol content and adding a tiny amount of salt to the wines. This avoids excise duty and VAT on our cooking wines and fortified wines.
For other products, we slightly reduced the alcohol level to focus on the FLAVOUR of the product, helping the product to go further by as much as 30%.

* Defined as 'A fruit-based clear brandy', similar to schnapps.
* Unlike other spirits, Eaux de Vie capture fresh, lively fruit flavours, naturally fermented. 
* Colourless, and with no apparent sweetness, they truly enhance fruit flavours.
* As a culinary ingredient, Eaux de Vie gives 'exclusivity' to the restaurant, and has the power to revitalise dishes.
