Communication Software
To complement its outstanding range of stepper motors and power stage devices,
Phytron has developed several operating and programming software interfaces.
They include:

MiniLog-Comm - specifically developed for programming our MCC series, OMC/TMC or
IXE series stepper motor controllers. Features a graphical user interface that
enables easy programming, online status display, parameterising and programme
archiving.

ServiceBus-Comm - compatible with all stepper motor power
stages equipped with ServiceBus, this graphical operating and interaction
interface allows easy optimisation of power stage operation parameters, and
enables online status monitoring of up to 32 axes.

LabVIEW-VI MCC - developed for various applications, including A-D value, drive
instruction, registers, parameters, etc. Compatible with MCC range of stepper
motor controllers.

Power Stages
Power Stages are used in the driver unit to convert directional and clock
signals into current signals that set the stepper motor in the desired rotation.
Our range includes:

19" Stepper Motor Power Stage: ZMX+ - this high-performance power stage offers
phase currents up to 9A/70V.

Compact Stepper Motor Power Stage: MCD+ - specifically developed for DIN-rail or
wall mounting, the compact power stage delivers phase currents of up to 9A.
Menu-driven settings include current, step resolution and other application
parameters.

Linear Power Stage: SINCOS - for use with two-phase stepper motors, with 4, 6 or
8 leads. The linear power stage benefits from reduced electrical noise for EMI
sensitive applications. Step resolution may be set from full step to 1/20 step.

Stepper Motor Power Stage Rack: MR8+ - this power stage rack with ServiceBus
module offers step resolution up to 1/512 step and motor currents up to 3.5A.
Comes with ServiceBus-Comm software for setting operation parameters.

Stand-Alone Units
Our Stand-Alone stepper motor controllers are freely programmable for one or
multi-axes systems, and may be operated online over the PC, via a control unit,
or as a master-slave operation. The Phytron range includes:

Programmable One-Axis Stepper Motor Controller: MCC-1 - offers phase currents up
to 3.5A. This motor controller has 8 digital Inputs/Outputs, 1 analogue input, 1
encoder input, and a redundant motor enable input. Also available as a 2-axes
stepper motor controller for MCC-2 devices.

Linear Stepper Motor Controller: MCC-2 LIN - suited to
extremely fine positioning and EMC-sensitive environments. Offers phase currents
up to 1.7A and step resolution up to 1/256 step.

Compact Stand-Alone Controls for 1 or 2 axes and multi-axis systems: OMC/TMC -
offers phase currents up to 9A. Features linear and circular interpolation of
two axes.

Servo Motor Controller PhyMac-3 - this 3-axes servo motor controller features an
integrated contouring control and is compatible with multiple interfaces.

Drives
Drives catch the signal of a driver unit significantly faster than a traditional
power stage. Rather than receiving tact or direction signals, they receive
'higher quality commands' such as: Absolute positions 'goes to zero'. These
commands can be stored and used again by the control unit. Our range of drive

Stepper Motor Drives with Plain Text Display: GCD 93-70 - offering phase
currents up to 9A with dynamically optimised step resolution.

Stepper Motor Drive with Power Supply Unit: GSP- features an axis controller,
bipolar power stage and a supply unit for direct connection to a 230V source.

Phytron has been producing stepper motors since establishment back in 1947 and

torques from 3.8mNm to 700mNm.

NEMA Stepper Motors ZSH: 57-107mm - with holding torques from 0.45Nm to 17Nm.

Vacuum Stepper Motors VSS/VSH: 19-125mm - with an operating
temperature range from -20 to +300°C, these vacuum application stepper motors are suited

Servo Motors
Our PSM series brushless synchronic servo motors have an
excellent torque to size ratio. They’re also highly efficient and benefit from
high overload capacity. Phytron servo motors are available with 25, 37 and 55mm
flange size, and may be fitted with brakes, gears and keyed shafts on request.

Inertial Dampers
Our DMP 20, 29 and 37 series inertial dampers are used to improve the system’s
characteristics of stepper motor applications by reducing settling times and by
suppressing system resonances. They have been specifically designed for
compatibility with stepper motor sizes 25 (NEMA 11), 32 (NEMA 14) and 37(NEMA
17) and are typically used in optical applications or other sensitive
environments.

Couplings
Phytron UK offer two coupling varieties: PWK High Precision Shaft Couplings and
WK Shaft Compensating Couplings. PWK couplings are absolutely backlash-free and
are available in a variety of sizes from 15 to 30mm diameter. The bore size for
mounting the motor shaft ranges from 3 to 12mm, while the maximum permissible
