Company Description

Cambridge Export Documents Ltd specialises in the packing and dispatching of customer products. Products vary but are widely from the electronics and science-based industries. We are pleased to provide first class service to small and large businesses alike and are recognised by many national and international corporations as providing a high quality, reliable service. We work closely with our clients at all stages so that the most effective service is provided. Alongside our standard packing services we are able to provide custom-designed solutions to suit specific projects. While our packing service is largely centred on our premises we also provide packing services that can be completed at customer’s own premises. This option is sometimes ideal for particular businesses or applications with specific requirements. We have continually invested and developed the company during the years to meet industry demand and to remain one of the leading packing companies in the industry. Alongside our packing services we are also international freight forwarders. This enables us to export customers’ products via air or surface world-wide at economic rates. We can also provide quotes for TIR trailer and sea-freight upon request.
Packing Cases We design and manufacture excellent packing cases for the transportation of various products and equipment. Examples of the types of case we can create include plywood case, close boarded case, exhibition case, metal edge case, open crate, tri-wall wrap case, basic pallet, custom designed pallet, onsite packing, and full tropical packing. We can manufacture cases in all sizes and in single or large batch runs. All of our cases are supplied with lining and can be custom-made with internal fittings to suit specific customer requirements to suit domestic use, or worldwide export via air, sea or by road.
Plywood Case Plywood cases provide excellent solutions when it comes to certain packaging problems. Our plywood cases are manufactured to extremely high standards to provide safe transportation of all kinds of products including those of particularly high value or bulky items. They are manufactured from high quality plywood and designed and manufactured to be tough and durable for multiple re-use. We manufacture plywood cases in all sizes to suit all customer requirements. Close Boarded Case We also manufacture the traditional close boarded case. These cases are tough and robust making them ideal for the transportation of heavyweight items. Tri-Wall Wrap Case We manufacture extremely high quality tri-wall wrap cases. These are manufactured using heavy duty materials and can be custom made with different bases to suit different item weights. Foam Packaging Our foam packing service provides customers with high quality, bespoke packing solutions. We design the best packing solution to suit the specific requirements of each different packing project. Examples of our foam packing service include foam-in place moulding for single packs and short runs, pre-moulded foam packs for short or long runs, design tooling for pre-moulded foam packs, die-cut foam pack inserts, white polyethylene foam end caps and fittings, design tooling for die-cut packs, laboratory drop testing if required, and humidity control packing service.
Die-cut Foam Pack inserts Our highly skilled team manufactures die cut foam pack inserts to safeguard products and present them professionally. From the project inception we design and create the most effective die-cut foam pack inserts for your products. Pre-moulded Foam Packs We offer foam-in-place packing as well as pre-moulded foam units to manufacturers and suppliers. We are the only company in the Cambridgeshire area to provide this service. Pre-moulded foam packs provide the ultimate in packaging protection. It is part of our ethos to use environmentally friendly packing materials and methods of production where possible and we meet current EEC legislation to maintain this philosophy.
White polyethylene Foam End-caps and Fittings We also fabricate polyethylene foam end caps and foam fittings in standard white. The polyethylene cushions the products and protects them from shocks in transit. These end caps and fittings are largely used for packing and transporting high value goods.

Exporting To complement our range of packing services we also provide a freight forwarding service. We have many years experience and expertise in this area in order to provide the most cost effective freight solutions. Our exporting services include multi-modal transport, consignment consolidation, door to door service, short and long term storage, documentation service, letter of credit service, case-making and packing service, HMC deferment facility and onsite kiln service (IPPC ISPM15 certified).
Import Clearance Service We also provide import clearance services for the swift consignment of freight to your door. We are able to take complete control of imports (including duty and VAT) and provide constant monitoring and tracking to keep you up to date and informed on the whereabouts of your deliveries.
