Simplex provides piling design & construction solutions for Building and Civil Engineering throughout the U.K.
Techniques include Rotary Bored Piles, CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) and Driven Concrete & Steel piles. A fleet of rigs allows construction of piles up to 2.4 metre diameter and, where necessary, the use of bentonite or supermud for stabilising bores during construction.
Contiguous and Secant Wall piling is carried out to allow Basement and Deep Pit construction where site constraints limit open excavations. Simplex have much experience of working adjacent to Railways both within Possessions and whilst trains are operating.
Projects include major works on the Olympic Site in Stratford and the formation of the foundations for the tallest building outside London in Manchester. Piling work in live Hospitals, Schools and High Security Sites (BNFL Sellafield, MoD Northolt, BAE Barrow etc) reflects Simplex's appreciation of their client's requirements in H.S.E and Quality issues.
