Sigmum Casting Company Ltd has a huge amount of experience in the pressure die casting industry, specialising in aluminium and zinc alloys. Our company offers a complete package from design, prototyping and tool making all the way through to the finished end product made exactly to the customer’s requirements. This includes Alacrome 407/47 for every aluminium product, Grenodine pre-treatment for zinc castings and our full in-house powder coating facilities.
Production
We operate from our sites in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.
Not only do we have our own comprehensive design and tool room facility but we also have a wide range of modern die casting machinery which are fully computer automated giving an excellent quality product to meet our customer’s specific requirements.
We can manufacture castings up to 5Kg in aluminium and 1 Kg in zinc. Our flexible approach to planning and production enables us to cope with the smallest or largest of runs.
Products produced
Sigmum Casting Company produce castings of the highest quality as required by our customers. We have much experience in microwave guide technology castings for the mobile phone/ communications technology industries.
We also produce a high class finished product for point of sale in the brewery industry.
CAD Design
We have a complete CAD design facility which uses IGIS, WEP, STEP and DXF. This allows us to work closely with our clients to provide prototyping after adding in draft angles etc. enabling us to produce a model that is as close to a casting as possible.
With all of this in mind our clients are able to test a component before producing tooling or testing on finished products which can reduce vital development time.
Prototyping / Toolmaking
All tool production and design is carried out in our own facilities, which enables us to keep a close eye on the tooling whilst it is in production.
By having this service available full tool maintenance and refurbishment is offered at a exceptionally high standard.
The tool room department with its design capability offers the service of designing and producing all press tools and machining jigs. This helps to increase the efficiency on finishing all castings, reducing costs were possible to all our clients
Finishing Processes
We offer a complete range of finishing, ranging from general jobbing machining to full CNC Machining on castings and machine from solid.
We also offer Full fettling facilities and where required any casting can be hand finished to ensure finer detail.
Finer finishes can be achieved with orbital sanding and sand blasting if requested.
