Company Description

We are specialist manufacturers of conveying equipment for packaging, food and hygiene-related products. Based in Slough, we have been manufacturing equipment in the UK for more than 35 years. Our product range encompasses simple horizontal units through to substantial bespoke PLC-controlled conveying systems. 

We manufacture conveyors from a variety of materials, including stainless steel and special food-grade HMWPE plastic which we machine to size on our in-house router. Numerous options for belts are available, such as plastic link type, conventional PU and cloth. We offer accessories such as tote handling, metal detection, cooling, de-ionisation and static removal.


We provide comprehensive after-sales support, including 24/7 emergency callout, training, safety assessment and equipment servicing. We keep more than 20,000 spares in stock. 

Conveyors

 

We offer an extensive range of conveyors to suit a wide variety of applications.


Our stainless steel conveyors are constructed of grade 304 stainless steel with hygienic box construction and reliable pin locking systems. They feature fast belt removal, replaceable HMWPE wear strips, a direct shaft gearbox rated to IP65, and guarding constructed to CE as well as British Health & Safety requirements.


UPM Plastic conveyors feature precision-machined HMWPE side panels, a strong aluminium frame with lockable castors or adjustable levelling pads, 2-ply PU belt in blue as standard but available in various colours, and rotary on/off control. Optional PLC controls are available.
We also design and manufacture bespoke conveyor systems.

Product Handling

 

We supply product handling systems ranging from compact integrated conveyors to complete turnkey systems. We have produced conveyor systems designed to perform various product handling tasks, including:

  • Weighing

  • Counting (Rotary Box Filler or by weight)

  • Box Indexing

  • Merging Stations, Rotary Tables or Lazy Susans

  • Product Separation for cartoning and packaging

  • Product Switching System for automatic track diversion

We have designed and manufactured numerous specialised systems, including a bespoke system for handling the transfer of cherry tomatoes to a packing area, with a HMWPE conveyor elevating the packs 1100 mm through a 90-degree radius turn, at a rate of 70 packs per minute. 

Infrared Drying

 

Infrared (IR) drying, unlike conventional driers, heat only the solid or liquid mass rather than the surrounding air, offering up to more than 60% power savings over conventional drying. Applications for which IR drying is suitable include drying of virgin PET, crystallising and drying of PET regrind from film, sheet or bottles, as well as pre-heating and drying of wood, PP, and free-flowing powders.


We produce five models of IR rotary drum drying machines with stainless steel drums ranging in capacities of 500 to 3000 litres. The machines provide fast, efficient drying and feature door safety limit switches that prevent operation when the doors are open.

Material Handling

 

We manufacture a diverse range of equipment designed for material handling, including hopper loaders, dehumidifier and hot air dryers, volumetric dosing machines, and granulator / reclaim units. We also design complete materials handling systems.


Our hopper loaders range includes automatic monophasic hopper loaders for reground thermoplastic or granular material as well as compressed air and three-phase hopper loaders.


We manufacture dehumidifier dryers in a varied range that presents several solutions for drying technical plastic material, and hot-air dryers for non-hydroscopic thermoplastic materials.


Our corrosion-proof volumetric dosing units are suitable for dosing master batches or additives as well as for injection moulding machines or extruders


Our custom-engineered reclaim system can load reject mouldings into the granulator for regrind. De-dust, contamination check and metering back into the process can be accomplished automatically.
