Camdata has been designing and manufacturing computer equipment for difficult environments for over 20 years.
Difficult to us means non-office environments – ie where the problem is dust or water ingress (IP65 or better), shock/vibration, temperature/humidity or even electromagnetic fields.
Typical applications include general industry, the military, transport including vehicles, boats and planes, retail, pharmaceutical, food, printing etc.
Our two ranges are Camdata, which are fixed, usually mains powered, large 10-20" displays with touch input and commonly with multiple comms interfaces.
Microscribe which are rugged, portable, powered from an internal battery or the equipment it is connected to, running Windows CE or its predecessors.
We also have distribution rights for various countries for the Two Technologies range of rugged handhelds with particular emphasis on RFID and cameras.
We are primarily a hardware company, leaving the added-value application development and support to our customers - we rarely deal with end users.
As an engineering-based company, we are often asked for customisation either of standard products or completely new units.
