MGT Training Courses provide medical personnel with a comprehensive understanding of all issues relating to oxygen safety. Modules include:
- Safe Management of Medical Gas Cylinders & Equipment (2 ½ hours) - covers cylinder identification, valve types, storage, handling, transportation, use of equipment, cylinder manifolds
- Safe Management of Medical Gas Cylinders & Equipment (1 ½ hours) - a shortened version of the course above, ideal for staff who have a less frequent or more specific involvement with cylinders. Covers labelling, valves and regulators, use of equipment, potential hazards, safe working practice
- HTM 02-01: Operational Management MGPS (2 hours) - topics include cylinder identification, storage and handling, cylinder valves, use of cylinders and equipment, fire hazards and procedures, procedures for major gas leaks, alarms.
- Management of Oxygen / Nitrous Oxide Gas Mixture (1 ½ hours) - covers history of development, indications for use, contra-indications, cylinder and equipment management, storage, administration procedures, protocol development
- Refresher Courses (1 hour)
