SuperQuilt - Multifoil Insulation Blanket

Lightweight, flexible and easy to fit, our SuperQuilt multi-foil insulating blanket offers superior insulation that is equally welcome in summer as in winter.  With its special composition of multiple layers of insulation, SuperQuilt is effective against all types of energy transfer – be it conduction, convection or radiation.  Infra-red radiation is reflected so that in winter heat is reflected is reflected back into the building whilst cold air goes outside.  In summer SuperQuilt forms an efficient barrier against overheating, ensuring heat does not build up in the roof.  Offering Class E Fire Resistance, SuperQuilt has NHBC acceptance and meets the requirements of L1A and L1B 2010 and is in accordance with BR443.  You can find out more about SuperQuilt on our website.

Foil-Tec - Insulating Vapour Control Layer

The Foil-Tec insulating vapour control layer was developed by YBS Insulation for use in both walls and roofs, where it increases thermal performance and controls condensation and air tightness.  In accordance with BS 5250:2002, Foil-Tec is a multiple layer foil laminate coated with nitrocellulose and is resistant to corrosion, whilst offering superior resistance to nail tear.  Foil-Tec is easy to use, being light weight and simple to cut.  You can see more about this high performance material on our website.

AirTec - Aluminium Foil Bubble Insulation

AirTec is an aluminium foil bubble material offering excellent insulation, which is achieved by trapping air within its structure, thus creating low emissivity air spaces.  AirTec is available in 2 forms – AirTec Single has aluminium bonding on one face and AirTec Double is bonded on both faces.  Levels of insulation are measured in U-Values, with low U-Values indicating high levels of insulation, indicating how well heat is conducted or transferred.  With a low U-Value of 0.27, AirTec is fully certified and meets NHBC standards.  There is more information about AirTec to be found on our website.

BreatherFoil - Insulating Fire Retardant Breather Membrane

YBS Insulation’s insulated fire retardant breather, BreatherFoil, is a significant improvement on traditional breather membrane, with a greatly increased U-Value.  It has been specially developed for use in timber frame and modular building construction.  BreatherFoil is fully certified and is approved by the NHBC.  When used along with external cladding the breather makes a wind-tight, draught-free enclosure that is weather-sealed whilst remaining vapour permeable.  You can see more detailed information about BreatherFoil on our website.

Nonitch - General Purpose Insulation

Our Nonitch general purpose insulation is as kind to the user as it is to the environment.  Being 85% comprised of recycled plastic bottles, it is quick to install and easy to use.  No personal protection is required, as the material is completely free from floating fibres, so you don’t have to worry about skin irritation or respiratory problems being caused by the material, unlike when using many other forms of insulation.  Extremely durable and long-lasting, Nonitch does not deteriorate and does not succumb to mould, mildew or rot.  Plus it is resistant to vermin and rats.  More information about Nonitch can be seen on our website.

Thermaflect - General Purpose Insulation Board

With a U-Value of 0.13Wm2K, Thermaflect general purpose insulation board offers both insulation and waterproofing, all in one product.  Meeting NHBC standards, Thermaflect provides an excellent barrier to overheating.  You will appreciate a major reduction of labour.  This efficient general purpose insulating board is offered in 2 formats – the Thermaflect Roof Board Silver (EPS) is designed to be used where there is sufficient space and flexibility available and the Thermaflect Roof Board Gold (PIR) is for areas where space is more critical.  Visit our website to find out more about this effective general purpose insulating board.
