Charnwood Milling Company Ltd, based in Suffolk, is a privately owned company which was formed in 1960 and specialises in a wide range of quality wild and domestic animal feeds. Nearly all of its feeds are produced and packed at its own mill in East Anglia, while certain ranges are manufactured by other trusted processors specifically to Charnwood Milling Company's own formulae. Staff at Charnwood, work to two main incentives; to provide animals with the best nutrition possible and to do this via excellent customer service.
Here at Charnwood, we carry out ongoing research and trials to ensure that our products are the very best they can be. The loyalty of our existing and new customers is proof that our quality feeds create effective results. All rations are formulated to the best specification for their use, and up to the declared analysis, not the minimum permitted tolerances.
Charnwood's sister company, Micronizing Company UK Ltd, was created in 1969 where infer-red thermal processing was used to improve the digestibility of cereal grain. The results of such a process have been well proven and we now supply a high number of cooked flaked micronized maize, wheat, barley, oats, peas and more.
We also supply a fantastic range of horse feeds to suit different diets. Our modern facilities ensure that feeds are in compliance with codes of the Jockey Club of Great Britain.

Our feed products can be ordered and paid for via our online mail order service. We deliver to most areas of the UK and all orders received by 8am Monday to Friday will be collated and dispatched on the same day. Orders received after 8am will be collated and delivered the following working day. Carriage charges are applied to orders at the checkout stage and are determined on the total weight of feed purchased.

We supply a fine range of horse feed to our happy customers. Our team undertakes ongoing research with equine nutritionists to develop our fantastic range of competitively priced equestrian feed products. We supply feed to customers who own some of the finest race horses and eventers in the UK. Our quality horse feeds create effective results. Items within our range include Micronized Full Fat Linseed Oil, De-hydrated Apple Rings, Charnwood Kick-on Pellets, Garlic Powder / Garlic Granules, Brewers Yeast and Seaweed Meal. Our latest products now also include Easibeet™, micronized, flaked and unmolassed sugar beet flakes.

Our Full Fat Linseed Meal is high in Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids. Its high energy combined with very low starch levels is beneficial to most equines including older horses and ponies and those that are prone to laminitis. In its raw state, the Linase enzyme in linseed can trigger the release of hydrogen cyanide. The micronization process of our linseed feed eliminates the Linase enzyme so that it can be fed directly to stock. Micronization also enhances feed value and palatability. Our linseed feed is available in both 3Kg and 25Kg bags.

We supply a range of 'floating' extruded feeds for marine ducks and flamingos. They are fully balanced and vitaminised to provide good growth, feathering and breeding performance. Feeds within the range include Extruded Ibis Diet, which contains a range of poultry and marine proteins to mimic the natural diet of invertibrates, Marine Duck, which uses high levels of fish meal and shrimp as a replacement for the natural diet of molluscs, crustaceans and crabs, Flamingo Breeder, which contains high levels of protein, vitamins and minerals, and Flamingo Maintenance, a balanced follow on ration for continued, growth, health and condition.

Our wild fowl feeds can be fed to all indigenous species of 'dabbling' ducks. Feeds within the range include Waterbird Starter Crumb, with high levels of quality proteins and balanced vitamins and minerals, Waterbird Grower Pellets, include selected ingredients to ensure early growth and a smooth transition onto pellets, Waterbird Maintenance Pellets, a follow on ration for continued growth, health and condition of the adult bird, and Waterbird Breeder Pellets, containing quality protein sources to improve digestion and maximise amino acid availability.

We supply a wide range of bird feed for wild garden birds and aviary birds.
Items within the range include:
High Flier Wild Bird Food: A carefully selected blend of sunflower seeds and hearts, chopped nuts, cleaned and cut cereals, red and white dari, millet, coriander, peanuts, hemp, soya oil, and linseed.
No Waste Wild Bird Food: This mix is similar to the High Flier feed but sunflower seeds are de-hulled so as not to leave a mess. Cereals are also chopped to discourage germination.
Songbird Wild Bird Food: A mixture of cooked and flaked cereals, chopped nuts, sunflower hearts and dried fruit – ideal for blackbids, thrushes and other ground feeding birds.
We also supply mixed corn for poultry, fat balls, whole peanuts, black sunflower seeds, sunflower hearts and Nyger seed. Parrot, cockatiel and budgie mixtures are also available.

We have been researching and developing our range of rabbit feeds for many years. We are dedicated to providing the best nutritional feed products for pet and professionally bred rabbits. The addition of two natural ingredients (Eimericox and Protophyt) offers increased protection against Coccidiosis. Products in this range include:

- FLAMINGO BREEDER - Contains high levels of marine protein (fish meal and shrimp) to improve digestion and maximise amino acid availability plus high vitamin and mineral levels and natural pigments to optimise egg production and hatchability. Carophyll red is added to enhance plumage colour.
- High Flier® - A carefully selected blend of Sunflower Seeds and Hearts, chopped nuts, cleaned and cut cereals, red and white Dari, Millet, coriander, peanuts, and linseed, designed to attract all garden birds.
- MARINE DUCK - This balanced ration continues to use high levels of fish meal and shrimp as a replacement for the natural diet of molluscs, crustaceans and crabs. Feed as a maintenance and breeding diet (Additional oyster shell is useful during lay).

Ingredients: Wheat, Fish meal, Prawn Meal, Maize meal, Hiprosoya, Dicalcium phosphate. Soya oil. Minerals and Vitamins.
- No Waste - High quality mixture, but with all of the sunflower dehulled to avoid unsightly litter, and the cereals chopped to discourage germination.
- Show Off Rabbit Mix - This mix has proved very successful in producing several National awards. The somewhat higher oil level results in brighter fur and skin condition, and the higher energy level helps to boost conformity.
- Songbird - A carefully chosen mix of cooked & flaked cereals, copped nuts, sunflower hearts and dried fruit – ideal for Thrushes and other ground feeding birds.
- Thumpers® - The most popular of our Coarse Mixes, the sales of Thumpers have increased dramatically since we introduced it some 5/6 years ago. We have managed to attain a really good mixture, without using coloured extrusions, and have included cooked and flaked peas, beans and maize, along with dried carrot flakes, to make a mix which really appeals – both to customer and rabbit!
