At our Laser Job Shop in Grays, we operate three high power, flat bed CO2 lasers
which enable us to take on almost any profile cutting sub-contract work. These
range in power up to a maximum of 5kw, while our largest bed size is 4000mm x
2000mm. We also possess facilities for de-burring and vibratory finishing. This
collection of state-of-the-art machines allows the Essex Laser Job Shop to
profile a wide range of materials, and as a true laser cutting job shop we're
able to cater for batch sizes from single parts to several thousand, prototyping

The Essex Laser Job Shop is able to profile a wide range
of materials, including mild steel (up to 20mm), stainless steel (up to 15mm),
aluminium (up to 12mm), wood (up to 25mm), plastics (up to 20mm), brass (up to
5mm), titanium, bronze and copper (up to 3mm). These are amongst the most common
materials that we handle, but we can also profile armour plating, shim steel,
architectural steels, tool steel, perforated sheet, durbar/checking plate,

We have recently
added a 160 ton pressbrake to our collection of machines, enabling us to handle
almost any sheet metal folding requirement. This versatile piece of equipment
has a CNC controlled back gauge and a four metre beam length, which means we can
fold sheet metal up to 4000mm to match our laser bed size
of 4000mm x 2000mm. Finished parts can be delivered directly to your plant,
