Active Silicon specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of specialist imaging products. Frame grabbers include the Phoenix, LFG and Snapper boards in PCI Express, Com Express, PCI, PMC, cPCI and PC/104-Plus form factors. We support all major (and many specialist) operating systems including Windows, Mac, DOS, Linux, QNX, Solaris and VxWorks platforms, including 64-bit versions where available. These provide acquisition solutions for a wide range of applications supporting analogue, LVDS, HD-SDI and Camera Link® (including PoCL) cameras.
Active Silicon also develops custom solutions for a diverse range of fully integrated vision systems throughout science and industry. New this year is an extremely rugged embedded vision system based on the ETX form factor. The ETX carrier board supports image capture from multiple analogue or Camera Link cameras and also includes options for serial ports, power supplies, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet and other I/O.

- LFG - The LFG series is a low cost high quality composite/S-Video and monochrome frame grabber. Available for several operating systems and form factors (PCI Express, PCI, PMC, PC/104-Plus & cPCI). Provided with royalty free optimised JPEG and wavelet codecs.
- Phoenix - The powerful Phoenix series has support for
HD-SDI, SDI, Camera Link (including PoCL/SafePower support) and LVDS cameras. Available for several operating systems and form factors (PCI Express, PCI 64-bit/66MHz, PCI 32-bit/33MHz, PMC, PC/104-Plus & cPCI).
- SecuritySpy - One of the major application areas for the LFG4-MM is security - from high-end defence and aerospace applications to standard digital CCTV - running under a variety of operating systems. Since the LFG4-MM is available with Mac OS X drivers, it is fully compatible with the high performance, low cost SecuritySpy software based on the Apple Mac. The combination of the LFG4-MM and SecuritySpy provide a highly reliable, feature rich digital video surveillance system targeted at small to medium businesses as well as domestic applications.
- Snapper - The well established Snapper series incorporates both analogue and LVDS/RS-422 capture. Available for multiple operating systems with PCI support for both PC and Mac along with PMC products for VME systems.
